Donald Trump hasn’t taken office yet, and forces are already working against him.
They want to undermine his incoming administration from within.
And Steve Bannon was shocked to discover this Deep State plot against Donald Trump.
A Deep State Republican wants to be Trump’s new FBI director
The FBI launched a coup against President-elect Donald Trump during his first term by helping create the “Russian collusion” hoax.
Vice President-elect J.D. Vance let it slip in a since-deleted social media post that he was interviewing potential options to be the new FBI director.
Trump is expected to fire FBI Director Christopher Wray when he takes office next year.
Former Rep. Mike Rogers (R-MI) and former Trump official Kash Patel are rumored to be the top candidates for the job.
Patel is a Trump loyalist who helped expose the “Russian collusion” hoax as an aide to former House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA).
Rogers is a former FBI agent and House Intelligence Committee chairman who most recently lost this year’s Senate race in Michigan.
The battle between Patel and Rogers to be the new FBI director could have major consequences for Trump’s second term.
Patel wants to clean house at the FBI while Rogers is a pick who makes sure it’s business as usual at the bureau.
Potential FBI pick is a threat to Trump and freedom
Former Trump official Mike Benz warned that keeping Rogers from being the FBI director was crucial to the Trump movement during an appearance on Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast.
“This is an existential fight [for the Trump movement],” Benz said. You can’t really have a compromise candidate, where one person supports the president, and the other person is looking to put a knife in the president’s back. That is simply untenable when you’re dealing with the kind of special compartmentalized operations that happen at the FBI level.”
Benz noted that the FBI and the Justice Department had to be in sync for things to function properly in the Trump administration.
“What’s your beef?” host Steve Bannon asked. “Why does the MAGA Right — particularly the ultra-MAGA or, as Elon Musk calls it, the dark MAGA element who understands and is every day in a fight with the Deep State — oppose someone like Mike Rogers.”
“I have one issue first and foremost: free speech on the internet,” Benz said. “Mike Rogers is the former head of the Intelligence Committee overseeing the CIA while Russiagate was happening, essentially greenlighting all the Russiagate predicates that turned out to be complete nonsense.”
Benz points out that Rogers is on the board of directors of the Atlantic Council, which wanted to censor Trump off the internet for posting disinformation and the International Republican Institute (IRI).
“The IRI is essentially the GOP’s CIA wing, deeply tied since birth to figures like John McCain, George Bush, Dick Cheney, and Mitt Romney, who currently serves on its board,” Benz explained. “Mike Rogers is also connected with the IRI’s Beacon Project, initially launched by John McCain.”
“The Beacon Project was a GOP-led CIA snake operation designed to censor social media because Trump had successfully leveraged it in 2016,” Benz continued. “Its mission was to create a real-time ‘disinformation dashboard,’ like a beacon scanning the internet for false narratives supportive of Trump circulating online, whom the intelligence community, under the watch of people like Rogers, viewed as a potential Russian asset.”
Mike Rogers worked against Trump for years before getting chummy with him when he ran for Senate this year.
He supports warrantless spying on American citizens and social media censorship.
Picking him to be FBI director would keep business as usual going in the Washington, D.C. “Swamp.”
