The Presidential race is starting to get away from Kamala Harris.
She’s starting to change tactics on the fly.
And Kamala Harris made one scary decision that confirmed she’s in bad shape.
Kamala picks a new fight with Trump
Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign isn’t exactly exuding confidence lately.
Her handlers had her avoid the media for the first two and a half months of her campaign, but everything flipped in an instant when she went on a media blitz.
If Kamala’s campaign strategy of hiding from the media was working, she wouldn’t have abruptly changed course.
Democrats and their media allies began trying to create a phony narrative about former President Donald Trump being too old and in mental decline in an effort to boost Kamala’s chances.
Kamala joined in by releasing her medical records and falsely accusing Trump of hiding his from the public.
And she accused his staff of blocking him from doing an interview and hiding him from the press.
Kamala and her allies are trying to find a new angle of attack against Trump in the closing weeks.
Kamala’s actions confirm that she’s losing the race
Veteran journalist Mark Halperin said that these attacks from Kamala wouldn’t land with voters and the only reason she’s launching them is that everything else she’s done hasn’t worked.
“She’s talking about stuff that really has no effect on the real lives of real people, okay?” Halperin said on his 2WAY platform. “When you are in the end, and you’re looking at the polls every day, and the stuff you haven’t been doing that isn’t working, according to your own data, what do you do? You start talking about new stuff to see what sticks to the wall.”
“So she’s now talking about a bunch of stuff related to Trump’s being secretive: no medical records, won’t debate, won’t do 60 Minutes,” he added.
Halperin, who started his career at ABC News in 1988, noted that he had seen a lot of losing Presidential campaigns during his career.
“It got a lot of the attention in the press,” Halperin stated. “I will say, having covered winning and losing campaigns — Bob Dole, end of 1996 — ‘Where’s the outrage?’ John Kerry, same thing. Mike Dukakis, you know, Hillary — no, not Hillary ’cause she thought she was going to win … Everybody who’s ever lost in the last three weeks, they start to bring up new stuff.”
He explained that the average voter in a swing state isn’t going to make their decision based on whether Trump went on 60 Minutes.
“If you go to a Green Bay diner today … ask people there if they’re going to decide who they vote for based on whether Trump will do a 60 Minutes interview or whether he’ll do another debate … These are all signs that they know they have a problem, and I’ll say, if you can find me a single voter who will vote based on this, good luck,” Halperin said.
Kamala is getting desperate to find an attack that can land on Trump in the closing weeks of the election.
Her campaign’s actions are a tell about where the state of the race is really at.
