The response to Hurricane Helene has become its own disaster.

But the problems are far bigger than anyone realized.

And Mitch McConnell once again sold out suffering storm victims with yet another America Last betrayal.

Storm victims sent to the back of the line behind illegal aliens

Hurricane Helene left a path of destruction from Florida to Virginia with the hardest hit areas being in western North Carolina and east Tennessee.

Helene dumped record rainfall into the region which created flooding of Biblical proportions, leaving more than a hundred people dead and hundreds missing.

Flooding washed away roads that left mountain communities cut off from the outside world.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is supposed to be the tip of the spear of the federal government’s taxpayer-funded disaster relief efforts.

But the agency has been missing in action in the aftermath.

Private citizens and charities sprang into action to save storm victims from the flooding.

FEMA failed the residents of North Carolina and Tennessee.

Biden-Harris Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas added insult to injury when he declared that FEMA was out of money for the rest of hurricane season.

The agency was hijacked by the Biden-Harris regime to help with its open border agenda.

FEMA spent $650 million this year transporting, housing, and caring for illegal aliens.

Former President Donald Trump and working class Americans from all walks of life were outraged that the FEMA money was going to illegal aliens instead of storm victims.

Republicans and Democrats came together to sign off on that spending.

The bipartisan roots of turning FEMA into an illegal alien resettlement agency

The $650 million that FEMA spent on illegal aliens this year came from the Further Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2024, a minibus spending bill that Congress passed in March with support from Republicans and Democrats.

Decrepit Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (RINO-KY) and his fellow ruling class RINO turncoats signed off on the funding in this bill.

Conservatives urged McConnell and House Republican “leadership” to use their leverage to stop funding the Biden-Harris agenda since the 2022 Midterm elections.

But enough RINOs cave to keep the money flowing for the Biden-Harris regime’s open borders agenda every single time.

Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) told the Just the News, No Noise podcast that Congress’ broken budgeting process created the situation.

“FEMA, as well as this whole Biden administration has is here to protect Americans, our citizens, and hurricane Helene has put a tremendous burden on us, but, get this, follow these funds that have been directed at anything but Americans: $110 million in FEMA funds went to the emergency food and shelter program to assist migrants,” Norman said.

Congress continues to fund the government with massive must-pass spending bills that are chalked full instead of individual spending bills for the various parts of government where it would be easier to target wasteful spending.

“If we don’t get back to regular order, John, then there’s no hope for ever having a fiscal sanity plan in place,” Norman explained. “They, the Democrats, play us like a drum waiting to the end of the year.”

RINOs continually fold on Big Government funding bills that keep the money flowing to Democrats’ radical agenda.
