According to the RealClearPolitics national polling average Kamala Harris is leading Donald Trump by two points in popular vote polls.

But the Presidential race will be decided by a handful of battleground states.

That’s why Donald Trump’s eyes lit up when he saw where Chuck Schumer’s PAC just purchased over $1 million worth of ads.

There’s roughly one month left until voters head to the polls on November 5.

The political atmosphere is glowing white hot as Americans are more divided than ever before.

Vice President Kamala Harris is currently leading by two points in the popular vote, according to the Real Clear Politics national polling average.

For comparison, former First Lady Hillary Clinton led former President Donald Trump by 2.5 points in 2016, and President Joe Biden led him by 7.4 points in 2020 at this time in the race.

But Donald Trump is leading in the battleground states of Georgia, North Carolina, and Arizona, while Kamala is leading in Nevada, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

Kamala and Trump are tied in Pennsylvania – the state many believe could ultimately decide the race.

While most of the news is centered around the Presidential election, Congressional races are also heating up across the country.

Republicans are defending a razor-thin majority in the House, and Democrats have a narrow 51-49 seat majority in the Senate.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is also facing a tough election map on November 5, as there are 23 Democrat seats up for grabs compared to only 11 Republicans.

Two of the seats Democrats are defending are in the Trump-supporting states of Ohio and Montana.

And Democrats were just forced to spend millions of dollars in a race that shouldn’t even be competitive for Republicans.

In the deep blue state of Maryland, former Republican Governor Larry Hogan is running against Democrat Angela Alsobrooks.

Joe Biden won Maryland by 33 points in 2020, making it one of the bluest states in the country.

But the race has tightened to the point where Chuck Schumer’s PAC just spent an additional $1.1 million in Maryland on advertising for Alsobrooks.

“Democrats are flooding the Maryland Senate race with fresh cash, suggesting one of the country’s bluest states is now a concern for Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s slim majority,” Axios reported. “A PAC linked to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) is launching $1.1 million worth of ads over the next two weeks to defend a Democratic seat in the deep blue state of Maryland.”

Schumer’s PAC is splitting the money up between digital ads and broadcast network ads.

“The group is set to spend roughly $570,000 on broadcast and digital ads this week and another $550,000 next week to bolster Prince George’s County executive Angela Alsobrooks,” Axios reported.

A Super PAC supporting Larry Hogan recently spent nearly $20 million on ads that started last week in Maryland.

Of course, Kamala Harris knows she has Maryland in the bag for the Presidential race.

But the fact that Democrats are in panic mode over the Senate race is a sign of bad news for Kamala and her campaign.

And it’s news that would make Donald Trump’s eyes light up with excitement.
