Kamala Harris had her first rally in Detroit, Michigan, as the presumptive Democrat nominee on Wednesday.

Over 15,000 people attended the rally in the critical battleground state.

But a nightmarish end to a campaign rally left Kamala Harris staffers in tears.

Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Democrat Governor Tim Walz, spent their first full day campaigning together on Wednesday in a trip across the midwest.

Harris and Walz held a rally in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, followed by another rally in Detroit, Michigan.

Wisconsin and Michigan are two of the top swing states that will determine the outcome of the election.

At her rally in Eau Claire, Harris told the crowd that she raised over $36 million within the first 24 hours after she announced Walz as a running mate.

Harris and Walz ended the day in Detroit, where they were joined on stage by Michigan Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

“We need a strong woman in the White House and it’s about damn time,” Whitmer said.

Harris attempted to portray herself as a champion of the working-class and a defender of democracy.

“Michigan, I ask you, are you ready to make your voices heard?” she asked the crowd. “Do we believe in freedom? Do we believe in opportunity? Do we believe in the promise of America?”

Walz spoke to the crowd, where he rambled about how Trump and Vance tried to “steal the joy” away from Americans.

“All the things that make me mad about those other guys and all the things they do wrong, the one thing that I will not forgive them for, is they tried to steal the joy from this country,” he said. “They tried to steal the joy.”

“But you know what? Our next President brings the joy,” Walz said. “She emanates the joy.”

During part of Harris’ speech, a group of pro-Palestinian protesters disrupted her by chanting, “Kamala, Kamala, you can’t hide . . . we won’t vote for genocide.”

This infuriated Harris.

“We believe in democracy,” she said.

“Everyone’s voice matters, but I am speaking now,” Harris said in a nasty tone.

When the chants continued, Harris blew a gasket and yelled, “You know what, if you want Donald Trump to win, then say that.”

“Otherwise, I’m speaking,” she said while waving her arm.

But the real disaster occurred after the rally when thousands of people were left stranded and unable to get back to their cars.

“Complete chaos after the Detroit Kamala rally,” Political Scientist Josiah Lippincott wrote on X. “It has been 2.5 hours and people are still unable to find shuttles back to their cars.”

Lippincott said the situation became so bad that a Harris volunteer started crying.
