Kamala Harris is reintroducing herself to the country after she got the top spot on the ticket.
But the public is seeing a very different person than they remember.

Kamala Harris gets an extreme makeover
Vice President Kamala Harris became a national punchline after she took office in 2021.
Her gaffes and world salads made her a target of mockery in the media.
And she was subjected to years of speculation that President Joe Biden could replace her on the ticket.
The Washington Post ran a piece in June that former First Lady Hillary Clinton should replace Harris as Vice President to give voters more confidence that President Joe Biden had a competent replacement if he stepped down in a second term.
Columnist Kathleen Parker noted Harris’ “lackluster performance” and “low popularity.”
Less than two months later, the same media that wanted Harris to be kicked to the curb turned into her biggest cheerleaders after she became the Democrats’ Presidential nominee.
The media hype train for Harris has reached levels not seen since the fawning that former President Barack Obama received in 2008.

Former Trump administration official Monica Crowley appeared on a panel with Trump campaign Deputy Director of Communications Caroline Sunshine on Fox Business.
Crowley called out the media for boosting Harris.
“Let’s talk a little bit about how the imperial media has taken Kamala Harris, historically the most unpopular Vice President in recent American in history, to being the belle of the ball in the space of about one week,” Crowley said. “They are trying to sell her as Obama in a skirt, basically trying to create momentum around Kamala Harris based on identity politics, the fact she’s a woman of color and would be the first woman of color president.”
She asked Sunshine how the Trump campaign planned to deal with the media’s cheerleading for Harris.
“Well, we’re watching, as you just said, Hillary,” Sunshine said. “We’re watching Kamala Harris get the Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama treatment from the liberal mainstream media and the Democrat Party.”
Sunshine said that the Clinton and Obama playbook wouldn’t work with Harris.
“Kamala Harris, as policies couldn’t be more out of touch with where the average American is at,” Sunshine explained. “You think people in Pennsylvania want to have an all-out ban on fracking? Absolutely not.”
The name might change at the top of the ticket, but the issues are still what’s driving this election.
“The issues most important to the American people are the economy, inflation, immigration. President Trump’s on the right side of all of those issues,” Sunshine said.
Harris is still the same candidate who dropped out of the 2020 Presidential race before a single vote was cast in the Democrat Primary.
She’s avoided interviews and any unscripted settings on the campaign trail to avoid any gaffes.
Democrats and their media allies hope that can carry her across the finish line to victory in November.
