What Dr. Fauci just lied about on TV should land him in prison

Dr. Anthony Fauci is feeling the heat.

Republicans have pledged that if they win a Congressional majority this November, they will investigate Dr. Fauci’s failures during the COVID pandemic.

And what Dr. Fauci just lied about on TV should land him in prison.

The hosts of The Hill’s Rising video series recently confronted Dr. Fauci about his support for the disastrous and unscientific lockdowns.

Dr. Fauci grew defensive and insisted he never actually supported closing businesses and schools.

“First of all, I didn’t recommend locking anything down, you’re asking me questions, you’re talking about — the CDC’s the public agency that uses their epidemiologists and their science-based approach to make recommendations,” Dr. Fauci stammered.

That was a flat out lie.

In October 2020, Dr. Fauci happily took credit for being the one who supposedly convinced President Trump to impose the “15 days to slow the spread” shutdown of the economy.

“When it became clear that we had community spread in the country… I recommended to the President that we shut the country down,” Fauci bragged at the time. “That was a very difficult decision, because I knew it would have serious economic consequences, which it did.”

Fauci then falsely claimed a lockdown could limit the spread of the coronavirus.

“There was no way to stop the explosive spread that we knew would occur if we didn’t do that,” Dr. Fauci stated. “And unfortunately, since we actually did not shut down completely — the way China did, the way Korea did, the way Taiwan did — we actually did see spread even though we shut down.”

To further prove he was unrepentant about his support for mandates and lockdowns, Dr. Fauci claimed the big mistake he and other public health officials made was not supporting even more stringent restrictions even earlier in the spring of 2020.

“Had we known back then the insidious nature of spread in the community, there would have been much more of an alarm and there would have been much, much more stringent restrictions in the sense of very, very heavy encouraging people to wear masks, physical distancing and what have you,” he added.

A Republican majority will call Dr. Fauci to testify under oath about his COVID response.

And if Dr. Fauci tries to claim he never supported lockdowns while under oath, he should face charges of lying to Congress.
