Vladimir Putin issued this threat that was everyone’s worst nightmare

Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered a military invasion of Ukraine.

Putin is seeking to undo America’s victory in the Cold War and redraw the map of Europe.

And now, Vladimir Putin issued this threat that was everyone’s worst nightmare.

In a speech announcing a war of aggression in Ukraine, Vladimir Putin threatened the West with nuclear annihilation if any nation attempted to fight alongside the Ukrainians as they attempted to stave off Russian domination.

Putin threatened never before seen consequences for any country that Putin deemed interfering in Russia’s invasion.

“A couple of words for those who would be tempted to intervene. Russia will respond immediately and you will have consequences that you never have had before in your history,” Putin responded.

If Putin left ambiguity in that statement, his further comments threatened all-out nuclear war if anyone attacked Russia during this invasion.

Putin stated that, “no one should have any doubts that a direct attack on our country will lead to the destruction and horrible consequences for any potential aggressor.”

The Russian President referred to the fact that Russia has the largest nuclear arsenal in the world stating that his nation possesses “one of the most potent nuclear powers and also has a certain edge in a range of state-of-the-art weapons.”

As the invasion began, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke to his people.

President Zelensky declared his nation sought peace, but that Ukrainians would fight to the last against Russian aggression.

“The people of Ukraine and the government of Ukraine want peace,” Zelensky stated. “But if we come under attack, if we face an attempt to take away our country, our freedom, our lives and lives of our children, we will defend ourselves. When you attack us, you will see our faces, not our backs.”

Russia launched a land war into Ukraine that could lead to hundreds of thousands of deaths, millions of refugees and chaos and destruction on the European continent the likes of which no one has seen since World War Two.

It is a disaster of horrific proportions.

Polls show the overwhelming majority of Americans do not want to see the United States take a significant role in this conflict.

No one wants to see a shooting war between the world’s two largest nuclear powers, who each have approximately 200 times more nuclear weapons than the next largest arsenal.

And most chillingly, Putin promised a first strike nuclear response to an attack by conventional weapons.
