Nancy Pelosi and Democrats have been a disaster for the country.
The midterm elections could be the end of the line for her.
And Tim Scott gave her a reality check after revealing this shocking truth.
Republican Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina is usually a soft-spoken conservative fighter.
But the disastrous reign of Biden, Pelosi, and Schumer has left him fired up.
And he recently appeared on Fox News to unload on the out-of-touch Democrats.
Scott was asked by host Maria Bartiromo about Biden’s upcoming State of the Union speech.
He said of the Republican response to the speech, “It’s going to be a target rich environment. There are so many fires around the country and around the world. And most of them we can focus back on Biden administration’s failure of leadership.”
The conversation then pivoted to the crime wave that Democrats unleashed on the country with their war on law enforcement.
Bartiromo noted that crime is spiking across the country with murder rates at a 25-year high.
Scott sponsored a bill to give police officers more funding in the wake of Democrats’ “defund the police” movement.
Bartiromo noted that Nancy Pelosi said the “defund the police” movement is dead.
Scott destroyed Pelosi saying, “Speaker Pelosi said defund the police is dead, which means that defund the police was alive.”
“It was alive for a couple of years, and the crises that it created is undeniable across this country. Officers feel less represented, less respected and, frankly, with a 70% increase in shootings of police officers, they are less safe,” he added.
“We need to do the exact opposite . . . I hope the Democrats wake up,” he continued.
“I don’t believe President Biden is concerned with the crime. I think he is concerned with the issue of crime. We should think about Americans not politics we think about safety,” he concluded.
Scott pulled back the curtain on Democrats’ handling of crime.
Pelosi and the Left were all in on the “defund the police” movement until crime soared and it became a political loser.
Now that crime is becoming a top concern of voters in an election year, they’re running away from the problem that they helped create.
Pelosi is desperate to distance Democrats from “defund the police” but some of her allies won’t let her.
Democrat Congresswoman Cori Bush, a top lieutenant to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in the Squad, vows to not back off pushing “defund the police.”
“Defund the police” is becoming a political problem that Democrats won’t be able to hide from.
