These RINO traitors got the surprise of their life after a January 6 double-cross

There is no doubt the Republican establishment looked for any excuse to get rid of Donald Trump.

But you won’t believe how far they went.

And these RINO traitors got the surprise of their life after a January 6 double-cross.

CNN’s Rachael Bade and the Washington Post’s Karoun Demirjian’s new book UNCHECKED: The Untold Story Behind Congress’s Botched Impeachments of Donald Trump details how RINO Senators Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham bought the corporate-controlled media narrative that Trump led in an “insurrection” on January 6 lock, stock, and barrel.

“We’ve all known that Trump is crazy,” McConnell ranted. “I’m done with him. I will never speak to him again.”

When the Joint Session of Congress resumed, Senator Graham delivered a speech washing his hands of Trump, and sounding like he was ready to convict Trump, if the Democrats brought forward a second impeachment.

“Trump and I, we had a hell of a journey,” Graham claimed. “I hate it being this way. Oh my God I hate it… but today, all I can say is count me out. Enough is enough.”

McConnell, Graham and other RINOs thought January 6 was – for sure – the end of Donald Trump.

But Republican voters did not buy the false claim that Trump incited any sort of “insurrection.”

Conservatives saw that Trump told his supporters to “peacefully and patriotically” make their voices heard, and that the overwhelming majority of the crowd at the rally peacefully protested the results of the election.

Bade and Demirjian claimed that two days after making his speech, Trump supporters confronted Graham at Reagan National Airport, demanding he recant his support for convicting Trump in an impeachment trial.

And apparently, Senator Graham quickly realized that the Republican Party base still supported Trump and backed down.

“Two days later, Trump supporters had harassed Graham as he walked through Reagan National Airport, calling him a ‘traitor,’” the book claims. “Graham’s resolve crumbled almost immediately. By the time the House was voting to impeach the following week, he had resumed his position as captain of the president’s cheering squad. He even found Trump an impeachment trial lawyer when no one else would step forward to defend him.”

Senator McConnell also abandoned any idea of voting to convict Trump after seeing that Republican voters stood with the President against another partisan Democrat witch hunt.

One of the misunderstood lessons of the Trump years is why establishment Republicans never broke with Trump en masse.

RINOs like Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham were not afraid of Donald Trump or his mean tweets.

They understood that the voters were the true source of Trump’s power, as the Republican base would punish anyone seen as collaborating with Democrats to exile Trump on fabricated charges.
