Florida Governor Ron DeSantis continues to be the darling of the GOP and one of the qualities endearing him most to the Right is his no-nonsense speech.
DeSantis has pushed back against the COVID mandates, Joe Biden’s regime, and now he’s even pushing back against some so-called “conservative” Supreme Court Justices.
And Ron DeSantis didn’t mince words when he just called out these Supreme Court Justices.
Last week the Supreme Court handed down what some consider a victory in the fight against Biden’s unconstitutional vaccine mandates.
SCOTUS ruled to block enforcement of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) mandate for businesses with more than 100 employees.
But they didn’t go all the way in shutting down the tyrannical mandates.
Despite blocking the OSHA mandate, SCOTUS allowed the health care worker mandate to go into effect, leaving many to question the move and only count the ruling as a partial victory.
To make matters worse for conservatives, Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Brett Kavanaugh sided with the liberal justices on the health care worker mandate.
Now Roberts is a turncoat, and the Right has known that for years, but Kavanaugh surprised some with his vote and left Ron DeSantis fuming.
Governor DeSantis knocked Roberts and Kavanaugh for lacking a “backbone” in their decision on the mandate for certain health care workers.
During an appearance on the popular conservative podcast “Ruthless” DeSantis slammed both of the justices.
“On the nurse mandate and the doctor mandate, Roberts and Kavanaugh joined with the liberals to allow the nurse mandate,” DeSantis said to a booing crowd.
The U.S. is in a crisis right now with hospitals so short-staffed because they’ve forced out unvaccinated workers that they’re allowing COVID-positive employees to come to work.
It is possibly one of the more bizarre and illogical events of the entire pandemic.
“So they have COVID-positive people back on, meanwhile the unvaccinated, likely immune through prior infection, healthy nurses are on the sidelines fired. How insane are these policies?” DeSantis asked.
No one quite knows what Roberts and Kavanaugh were thinking or what the logic was behind the vote, other than Kavanaugh must want to follow in the liberal footsteps of Chief Justice Roberts.
“But honestly, Roberts and Kavanaugh did not have a backbone on that decision,” DeSantis also said. “That’s just the bottom line.”
These mandates continue to be unconstitutional and one can only hope that some of these cases of health care workers losing their jobs over vaccination status will be properly ruled on in lower courts.
Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Kavanaugh let the American people down.
