Robert Kennedy Jr. is keeping his promise to Make America Healthy Again.

This time he’s taking on a critical issue affecting millions of American families.

And Robert Kennedy Jr. just launched this massive investigation that has Big Formula trembling.

Kennedy targets infant formula as part of health agenda

The Trump administration is making good on its promise to tackle America’s health crisis at all levels with a bold new initiative.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced that his department is launching a comprehensive review of infant formula ingredients and nutritional standards for the first time in nearly three decades.

The initiative, dubbed "Operation Stork Speed," will examine the nutritional requirements for infant formula and seek input on whether existing standards match the latest science.

"Operation Stork Speed brings radical transparency to ingredients in infant formula and puts science front and center," Kennedy said in the announcement. "Every child has a fundamental right to a healthy start. We’re giving parents the truth and the tools to make that happen. You can’t Make America Healthy Again if we don’t fix what nourishes our youngest and most vulnerable Americans."

This marks the first comprehensive review of infant formula ingredients since 1998, bringing much-needed scrutiny to products consumed by America’s most vulnerable population.

The FDA has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to gather public input on whether current nutrient requirements should be revised based on the latest scientific data. Commenters will have 120 days to submit responses.

Kennedy’s broader mission to tackle chronic disease

Kennedy’s focus on infant nutrition aligns with President Trump’s directive to address America’s chronic disease epidemic from the earliest stages of life.

This isn’t just about formula – it’s about setting the foundation for healthier Americans from day one. Kennedy has repeatedly emphasized the connection between early nutrition and long-term health outcomes.

During his contentious confirmation hearings earlier this year, Kennedy revealed a startling fact about America’s health crisis.

"We had a higher death count than any country in the world," Kennedy told the Senate committee during his confirmation process. "And when CDC was asked why, they said it’s because Americans are the sickest people on Earth. The average person who died from COVID, an American, had 3.8 chronic diseases."

Kennedy has made it clear he believes addressing these chronic health issues starts with what we consume from infancy.

FDA ramping up testing for contaminants

The HHS announcement also revealed the FDA is intensifying testing for heavy metals and other contaminants in infant formula and other foods consumed by children.

FDA Commissioner Martin Makary emphasized the critical importance of the initiative.

"Protecting our most vulnerable is not just a moral duty—it is our responsibility," Makary said. "For many children, infant formula is their only source of nutrition. That’s why it’s absolutely crucial to continually assess the nutrition standards and incorporate gold standard science to ensure we are providing the safest, most effective nutrition possible."

The agency is encouraging companies to enhance transparency and improve labeling clarity – a move that suggests voluntary compliance now might help manufacturers avoid stricter regulations later.

The FDA will convene a publicly accessible expert panel in June to further discuss the standards and science around infant nutrition.

This initiative represents one of the most significant regulatory reviews of infant nutrition in decades, and it signals Kennedy’s seriousness about examining all aspects of America’s food system.

For parents of infants, this unprecedented review could mean significant changes to the products they rely on daily – and potentially healthier outcomes for the next generation of Americans.
