One Republican received a heart-stopping letter after voting to impeach Trump

The Democrats’ latest attempt to impeach former President Donald Trump has failed.

For the handful of Republicans who fell into the snare and voted along with the Democrats, the side-effects are just beginning.

Now one Republican has received a heart-stopping letter after voting to impeach Trump.

One of the newest divergent leaders of the Never-Trump movement among Republicans is Illinois Congressman Adam Kinzinger.

The Congressman has stated his plan for the 2022 election cycle – he wants to rid the Republican party of Trump and his supporters.

In this line of Kinzinger’s thinking, the first step toward that process was voting to impeach Donald Trump.

And though Kinzinger may call himself a Republican, his actions in voting for impeachment were indicative of a misunderstanding of current Republican Party voters and their sentiments toward Trump.

The Illinois Congressman’s own family made him very aware of how badly he misunderstood the situation.

In a bold statement, declaring that Kinzinger joined “the Devil’s army,” eleven of his cousins sent him a letter stating he had been disowned from the family over his vote to impeach Trump.

“Oh my, what a disappointment you are to us and to God,” his family writes. “We were once so proud of your accomplishments! Instead, you go against your Christian principles and join the ‘devil’s army’ (Democrats and the fake news media). How do you call yourself a Christian when you join the ‘devil’s army’ believing in abortion? We thought you were ‘smart’ enough to see how the left is brainwashing as many ‘so called good people’ including yourself and many other GOP members. You have even fallen for their socialist ideals. So, so, sad!”

To no one’s surprise, Kinzinger showed no remorse in his decision and did not seem to care how his decision impacted his family.

“I hold nothing against them,” Kinzinger told The New York Times, “but I have zero desire or feel the need to reach out and repair that. That is 100 percent on them to reach out and repair, and quite honestly, I don’t care if they do or not.”

The Congressman will certainly face a challenge in the 2022 primary.

Kinzinger’s recent media tour has landed him a regular spot on CNN.

But many see this as a means to lay the foundation for a spot at the network as the newest anti-Trump Republican to join them after losing a primary.
