Christians have largely stayed silent over the years when it comes to politics.
But things are getting so bad that now some Christian leaders are starting to enter the fight for the soul of our nation.
One of the most renowned Christian scholars made one statement that has Democrats fuming.
We used to have a Church that cared
Towns across America used to be deserted on Sundays.
Families would stop everything they were doing and set their worldly ambitions aside to go to church.
And, since families were so dedicated to their faith, our society used to reflect a system of Judeo-Christian values.
You are maybe old enough to remember what our nation used to be like when our communities were guided by faith and a higher purpose.
But unfortunately, churches have become virtually irrelevant in current events across America.
And the degradation of Christianity’s relevance isn’t the result of benevolent forces outside the church, but rather, what is going on within.
A church is only as vibrant and influential as its leaders or vocal on events going on within their community.
And back in the day, pastors and priests used to make sure their voices were heard on the national stage, no matter what blowback they may face.
The nation’s revolution literally originated from the pulpit as they would share thoughts on human rights to representation along with the occasional patriotic reading, like Common Sense.
But over time, our churches have traded out hard-nosed preachers of the word for skinny jean-wearing beta pastors who would rather jump off a cliff than face any confrontation with society.
And as a result, politicians have been saying and doing anything they want while calling themselves Christian.
They know they won’t face any backlash from the pulpit.
But Democrats nearly fainted when they heard that a Christian leader actually called their policies out and put them on blast.
Bishop Strickland takes no prisoners
Catholic Bishop Joseph E. Strickland is one of a handful of Christian leaders these days who understand that leading the sheep means calling out the wolves.
Bishop Strickland was the bishop for the Diocese of Tyler, Texas and the surrounding Eastern Texas counties.
And using his platform in the Catholic Church, he would call out Pope Francis for going completely against Catholic doctrine.
But for defending the faith, Bishop Strickland was abruptly removed from his position in the Diocese of Tyler in 2023 by Pope Francis for questioning the Papacy’s policies.
Since he was booted out of leadership within the Catholic Church, Bishop Strickland has still been very vocal in defending life and traditional Christian values.
And this past week, Bishop Strickland went right after Democrats on a post on X that called the hypocrisy of Democrats’ abortion rights stance as it shared a video of a 34-week-old baby outside the womb with the caption, “They call it ‘reproductive rights’ because they refuse to call it what it is: murder.”
Bishop Strickland responded to the shared video by saying, “Yes, murder plain, simple and diabolical. We must continue to speak against so called ‘public servants’ who adamantly promote the murder of the weakest members of the public. If you vote for them you are complicit in murder.”

Can you imagine how different our society would be today if we had hundreds of more vocal Christian leaders like Bishop Strickland?
