Hollywood and major entertainment corporations like Netflix are chock-full of left-wing radicals.
Most Americans are starting to become aware of how these companies force their agenda on an unsuspecting public.
And now Netflix just saw the highest number of cancellations in a single day as soon as subscribers found out the truth about the company’s co-founder.
The co-founder of Netflix donated millions to Kamala’s campaign
Netflix is by far one of the biggest entertainment companies in the nation, but it recently saw a major spike in cancellations.
The cancellations came after subscribers discovered that its co-founder, Reed Hastings, donated an eye-watering $7 million to Vice President Kamala Harris’ Presidential campaign.
Cancellations for the streaming platform nearly tripled in the United States after a report revealed that Hastings said he made the gigantic donation to a super PAC aligned with Kamala.
The information came from a Bloomberg report that cited a market intelligence firm called Antenna Research Associates.
Many Trump supporters called on their fellow conservatives to cancel their Netflix subscriptions once Hastings endorsed Kamala on X and disclosed his massive donation in July.
Customers canceled their subscriptions at a higher rate than any month since February 2024, according to the Bloomberg report.
The news outlet said the cancellations were due to the company’s announcement saying it planned to phase out its lowest-cost option for customers.
The article states, “But the five-day period after Hastings’ endorsement was unusual, even for July,” adding that the single worst day for Netflix cancellations was on July 26.
Information about Hastings’ donation was revealed just three days before.
Hastings was also one of many big-name Democrat donors who called on President Joe Biden to step down this summer after his embarrassing performance on the debate stage.
In an email obtained by the New York Times, Hastings wrote, “Biden needs to step aside to allow a vigorous Democratic leader to beat Trump and keep us safe and prosperous.”
He and his wife, Patty Quillin, have long been major donors to the Party, most notably in Democrat-controlled California, where Hastings donated approximately $3 million to a committee trying to stop the 2021 recall campaign against Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom.
More about Hastings’ past comes out
Not only has the Netflix co-founder donated to Democrat causes before, but his wife was one of many who donated to a woke extremist group trying to stop San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin from being recalled in 2022.
Hastings also reportedly donated $7 million to a charter school-related PAC that backed Antonio Villaraigosa in 2018.
Villaraigosa was one of Newsom’s biggest opponents before he advanced to the general election, according to Deadline.
For now, it’s uncertain whether the Harris endorsement affected Netflix further than the notable five-day spike in cancellations.
The company will release its next financial report in October.
Customer cancellations are called “churn rates,” referring to the percentage of subscribers that cancel a service over a given period.
According to a report from Quartz.com, Netflix saw its churn rate increase to 2.8% compared to 1.8% in June and 2% in August, most notably during the five-day period from July 25 to July 29 which coincides with Hastings’ endorsement.
