Nancy Pelosi’s life has gotten a lot harder since Joe Biden’s Afghanistan flop.
People are turning on her party at historic levels.
And Nancy Pelosi was livid when a top Republican said three brutal words about her.
Nancy Pelosi had a good thing going for a little while.
It was clear that Joe Biden had no idea what he was doing, so she was able to call the shots in the Democrat Party for the most part.
But that was when Biden’s failures could be covered up simply by fake news networks like CNN and MSNBC ignoring them.
With those networks being all that the base of the Democrat Party watches, if they don’t talk about it, it isn’t a problem for Nancy Pelosi.
But that has changed with Biden’s historic failure in Afghanistan.
His withdrawal was such a screw-up that the Taliban was able to take total control of the entire country, along with Bagram Airbase, which held tens of billions of dollars in U.S. military equipment.
Nobody in their right mind can actually defend Biden’s withdrawal.
But Pelosi was seemingly forced to, putting out a statement “commending” Biden “for the clarity of purpose of his statement on Afghanistan and the actions he has taken.”
That statement didn’t go over well with Republican House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.
He stated that “it is disgusting” that Pelosi is standing by Biden’s failure, and also called for Pelosi to reconvene the House to delay the Afghanistan withdrawal, which has since become a moot point with Biden completing the withdrawal.
“Not only are we less safe there, but we are also less safe in America today,” McCarthy began while speaking to Fox News. “As you’ve reported, he’s opened our border. Long before this collapse in Afghanistan, we have been catching people on the terrorist watch list coming across our border from Yemen. Not on the same day either.”
He continued, hammering Pelosi:
“What’s going to happen now where we’re watching ISIS grow again in Afghanistan, when 5,000 prisoners were released inside Afghanistan, when they now know where they can come to America? We’re less than three weeks from the anniversary of 9/11 and this administration has put America in this position, this is unacceptable. Nancy Pelosi needs to bring us back into session, bring up this bill, move this deadline and make sure every single American is able to leave Afghanistan.”
