Mitch McConnell had this fiery answer for Joe Biden on the debt ceiling

The Democrat Party is falling apart and it’s mostly due to infighting between the progressives and the moderates.

Of course, this leaves quite the opening for Republicans to start making demands and trying to get their way in a Democrat controlled Congress.

And Mitch McConnell recently had this fiery answer for Joe Biden on the debt ceiling.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell didn’t mince words recently when addressing Joe Biden in a letter on the matter of raising the debt ceiling.

“Since mid-July, Republicans have clearly stated that Democrats will need to raise the debt limit on their own. All year, your party has chosen to pursue staggering, ‘transformational’ spending through unprecedented use of the party-line reconciliation process. I have relayed this reality to your Democratic lieutenants for two and a half months,” McConnell said.

McConnell, along with a number of other GOP members, have been telling the Democrats for months that they will not help them raise the debt ceiling.

Now McConnell is telling Biden to do it himself and convince members of Congress from the Democrat Party to raise the debt ceiling, not Republicans.

Since early in the summer, Republicans have very clearly stated that Democrats will need to raise the debt limit on their own, along party lines.

“All year, your party has chosen to pursue staggering, ‘transformational’ spending through unprecedented use of the party-line reconciliation process. I have relayed this reality to your Democratic lieutenants for two and a half months,” McConnell blasted Biden.

It’s clear that Democrats have no real plan to avoid default – they clearly didn’t anticipate the massive infighting.

McConnell’s letter came right before Biden was scheduled to make his own remarks on the need to raise the debt ceiling.

According to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, the U.S. will default on its obligations later this month and has been trying to convince Republicans to help Democrats raise the debt ceiling.

Biden attempted to place blame on the Republicans saying that their actions are “reckless and dangerous.”

“Raising the debt limit is about paying off our old debt. It has nothing to do with new spending being considered,” Biden stated.

As if McConnell already knew Biden would say that, the Senate Minority Leader laid out in his letter that Biden voted against GOP efforts to raise the debt ceiling three times as a Senator in ’03, ’04, and ’06.

Joe Biden’s attempt to “Build Back Better” has failed miserably.

He can blame Republicans all he wants, but the reality of it is the President’s own Party are the ones standing in the way of his massive socialist spending bill – much to the benefit of the American people.
