Mike Pence just picked a huge fight with Donald Trump that will put your jaw on the ground

Donald Trump is going to run for President in 2024.

Trump is now facing a direct challenge to his status as leader of the Republican Party.

And Mike Pence just picked a huge fight with Donald Trump that will put your jaw on the ground.

Former Vice President Mike Pence is planning to run for President even if Donald Trump announces a re-election campaign.

In recent months, Pence sought out opportunities to draw distinctions between himself and President Trump.

The latest example was Pence endorsing establishment-backed gubernatorial candidate, Karrin Taylor Robson, in Arizona’s Republican Primary.

Pence called Taylor Robson “the best choice for Arizona’s future.”

“As Arizona Democrats pursue the reckless Biden-Harris agenda, Karrin Taylor Robson is the only candidate for governor that will keep Arizona’s border secure and streets safe, empower parents and create great schools, and promote conservative values,” Pence added.

Taylor Robson praised Pence’s endorsement.

“Modern politics is full of charlatans and fakes, but Vice President Pence is the genuine article,” Taylor Robson declared in a statement to The Washington Post. “He has never wavered in his conservative beliefs and commitment to our Constitution, and left a rock-solid legacy as Governor to which I will aspire.”

Taylor Robson also won the backing of Arizona’s RINO Governor Doug Ducey, who forced children to wear masks in schools and ordered COVID lockdowns in 2020.

Pence endorsing Taylor Robson puts him in direct competition with his former boss, Donald Trump.

In the race for Governor in Arizona, Trump endorsed former TV anchor Kari Lake, who has led every public poll since receiving the former President’s backing.

Lake is running as an America First conservative who will take a tough stand against illegal immigration, and take on the Left in the culture war by banning drag shows in schools and putting cameras in the classrooms so parents can see if teachers are indoctrinating children with Critical Race Theory.

But the biggest point of contention between Lake and Taylor Robson is over the 2020 election.

Lake called the contest “rotten to the core,” adding that there should be investigations into what happened.

“I refuse to stop talking about it until our elected officials stand up and do something,” Lake said. “We want people to be arrested, prosecuted and thrown in jail.”

Lake holds a lead over Taylor Robson heading into the primary.

And the outcome of this race could provide a clue as to the contours of the race for the Republican nomination for President.
