Liz Cheney made one big mistake that’s going to come back to haunt her

Liz Cheney destroyed her political career attacking Donald Trump.

She thought one secret would stay buried forever.

And Liz Cheney made one big mistake that's going to come back to haunt her.

The January 6 committee spent millions of taxpayer dollars on a partisan witch hunt against President Donald Trump.

House Republicans just proved they were right all along.

New documents show former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) and Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) were secretly feeding materials to then-Special Counsel Jack Smith to help him prosecute Trump.¹

Cheney rushed 16 transcripts to Smith in December 2022 panic

The House Judiciary Committee released two letters that expose Cheney's coordination with Smith's witch hunt.

Cheney and Thompson couldn't hand over evidence fast enough.

They rushed to deliver 16 interview transcripts along with exhibits to Smith before Republicans took control of Congress in 2023.²

Four days later they were back with more — documents and text messages from Dr. John Eastman and former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows.³

They even provided a spreadsheet linking telephone numbers to names where only some connections had been made through "publicly available information."⁴

"New documents prove BENNIE THOMPSON and LIZ CHENEY were working hand-in-hand with JACK SMITH," the Judiciary Committee posted on X.⁵ "The partisan J6 Committee provided transcripts, documents, and text messages, all to take down President Trump and his associates."

This wasn't a congressional investigation sharing findings with law enforcement.

This was manufacturing evidence for a coordinated prosecution scheme.

Biden's pardons prove Democrats knew Cheney broke the law

Here's what should terrify every American about what Cheney did.

She knew it was wrong.

How do we know? Because she grabbed a preemptive pardon from President Joe Biden in his final hours in office.⁶

Biden pardoned everyone connected to the January 6 committee including members, staffers, and police officers who testified.⁷

"The issuance of these pardons should not be mistaken as an acknowledgment that any individual engaged in any wrongdoing," Biden claimed.⁸

You don't need a preemptive pardon unless you committed crimes.

The House Oversight Committee already called Biden's use of the autopen for pardons "void" and questioned whether Biden actually authorized them.⁹

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced her team initiated a review of Biden's questionable pardon practices.¹⁰

Cheney's grab for a pardon tells you everything you need to know about her guilt.

Cheney's pattern of witness tampering and destroyed evidence

The coordination with Smith was just the tip of the iceberg.

A December 2024 House Republican report recommended Cheney be criminally investigated by the FBI for witness tampering.¹¹

The report accused Cheney of secretly communicating with key witness Cassidy Hutchinson without the knowledge of Hutchinson's attorney.¹²

Cheney allegedly worked through former White House aide Alyssa Farah Griffin as a back channel to influence Hutchinson's testimony.¹³

"It is unusual — and potentially unethical — for a Member of Congress conducting an investigation to contact a witness if the Member knows that the individual is represented by legal counsel," the report stated.¹⁴

Then there's the missing evidence.

The committee deleted more than one terabyte of digital data after Thompson reported archiving more than four terabytes.¹⁵

That's equivalent to 6.5 million document pages, 500 hours of high definition video, or 250,000 photos.¹⁶

Evidence doesn't just disappear by accident.

Someone made it disappear.

Nancy Pelosi rejected two of Kevin McCarthy's Republican appointees and handpicked RINOs, Cheney and Adam Kinzinger instead.¹⁷

Real investigations don't delete evidence, hide transcripts, and rush materials to prosecutors in the middle of the night.

They especially don't require preemptive pardons from outgoing presidents.

Cheney's big mistake was thinking she could coordinate with Jack Smith to take down Trump and get away with it.

She gambled her credibility, her career, and potentially her freedom on destroying Trump.

Voters rejected her obsession with the former President and crushed her in the Wyoming GOP primary.¹⁸

Trump won the presidency twice despite years of this exact kind of lawfare.

And now House Republicans have the receipts showing exactly what Cheney did.

Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) leads the oversight subcommittee examining the committee's misconduct.

"Over the past twenty-four months of this investigation, my subcommittee staff have faced incredible obstacles in pursuit of the truth," Loudermilk said.¹⁹ "Missing and deleted documents, hidden evidence, unaccounted for video footage, and uncooperative bureaucrats."

The American people see through this garbage.

They elected Trump in a landslide knowing full well that people like Cheney spent years trying to destroy him.

Democrats weaponized Congress, weaponized the Justice Department, and weaponized Jack Smith's office — all to stop one man from returning to power.

They failed spectacularly.

Now Cheney's hiding behind Biden's pardon hoping to escape accountability for coordinating a prosecution scheme against a former President.

That's her legacy — a disgraced politician who betrayed her party, lost her seat, and needed a pardon to avoid prison.
