Left-wing activists are furious after the Supreme Court refused to take up a case about this hot-button issue

The Left is now trying to transform the military.

Leftists will do just about anything in pursuit of supposed “equality.”

And now left-wing activists are furious after the Supreme Court refused to take up a case about this hot-button issue.

The Left has been pushing for drastic reforms in the military for the past couple of years.

In 2015, after pressure from proponents on the political Left, the Department of Defense formally lifted the ban on women in combat in 2015.

This move has now opened the door for people to question the male-only Selective Service Registration System, or the “Draft.”

The modern registration system was developed during World War I, with over 16 million men being called into service between World War I and the Vietnam War.

But now with leftist politics infiltrating every aspect of society, some have found the draft sexist, even though it hasn’t been deployed in nearly 50 years.

Ria Tabacco Mar, director of the Women’s Rights Project at the ACLU, claims that “requiring only men to register for the draft reflects the outdated and sexist notion that women are less fit to serve in the military and that men are less able to stay home as caregivers in the event of an armed conflict . . . Such stereotypes demean both men and women.”

Luckily, the Supreme Court doesn’t have the time or patience to even hear arguments about the case.

After a federal district court ruled in favor of the plaintiffs, the New Orleans U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit reversed that decision, citing the decision of a previous Supreme Court decision.

According to USA Today, the Selective Service System told the Supreme Court it was “premature” to consider changing the draft to include women, and cited an earlier case, Rostker v. Goldberg, that made clear that “the court should defer to Congress” about the matter.

Apparently the Supreme Court agrees.

The Registration System is in place to ensure that the American military will have enough troops in case of extreme or dire circumstances.

Now that we have a large, robust military with both men and women who excel at their professions, whining about whether women should be drafted is just bringing attention to a non-issue when there’s bigger things to worry about.

Both China and Russia are beefing up their militaries with more funding and revamped training retinues.

But in the U.S, it seems as if some top military brass is more focused on appeasing the radical Left by kowtowing to whatever demands they come up with.

Whether it be incorporating women into the draft or pushing for transgenders to serve in the military, these arbitrary issues distract from being ready for whatever our enemies throw at us.
