Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem has made securing the border her top priority.
Now she’s honoring the victims whose lives were cut short because of a broken immigration system.
And Kristi Noem turned red with rage when she saw this heartbreaking list of Americans murdered by illegal aliens.
Secretary Noem releases shocking video highlighting illegal alien victims
The Department of Homeland Security just released a powerful video featuring the parents of Matthew Denice, a 23-year-old who was killed by an illegal alien driving drunk in 2011.
The illegal alien ran a stop sign, knocked Matthew off his motorcycle, and then dragged him a quarter mile to his death.
It’s a tragedy that plays out far too often across America – and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is making sure these victims aren’t forgotten.
“Far too many American lives have been lost because of illegal aliens driving drunk, including Mathew Denice, Sarah Root, and so many others,” Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in the announcement.
The sheer number of young lives lost to drunk driving illegal aliens is enough to make any American’s blood boil.
Young children among those killed by illegal aliens behind the wheel
The list of victims released by DHS reads like a roll call of broken dreams and devastated families:
7-year-old Ivory Smith was killed in Texas in 2024 by Joel Enrique Gonzalez Chacin, an illegal alien from Venezuela.
8-year-old Maverick Martzen’s life was cut short in California in 2019 by Karmit Singh, an illegal alien from India.
10-year-old Alex “AJ” Wise Jr. was killed in Texas in 2024 by Rogelio Ortiz-Olivas, an illegal alien from Mexico.
Teenagers Taliyah Crochet and Rylan Oncale, both just 18 years old, were killed in Louisiana in 2024 by Axel Flores-Cordova from Honduras.
The list continues with young people in their 20s, middle-aged Americans, and even a 70-year-old grandfather – all killed by illegal aliens who should never have been in the country in the first place.
Trump administration restores office for victims that Biden-Harris shuttered
On April 10, Secretary Noem relaunched the Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement (VOICE) office, keeping a key promise from the Trump campaign.
The VOICE office provides critical support services for victims of crimes committed by illegal aliens. The office was originally created during Trump’s first term in 2017 but was eliminated by the Biden-Harris administration – leaving victims without the resources they desperately needed.
“These Americans killed by drunk-driving illegal aliens should still be with us today, and we feel their absence in our schools and offices, at our dinner tables, and throughout our communities,” McLaughlin said.
“President Trump and Secretary Noem have reopened the VOICE Office to serve all victims of illegal alien crime and their families.”
Secretary Noem making border security her top priority
This announcement comes as Secretary Noem continues to implement President Trump’s border security policies that have already shown tremendous results.
Since taking office, the Trump administration has:
- Ended “catch-and-release”
- Shut down the “CBP One” app
- Signed the Laken Riley Act
- Restarted construction of the border wall
- Re-established the “Remain in Mexico” policy
These policies are already helping to stem the tide of illegal immigration that had surged to historic levels under the previous administration.
Secretary Noem is making it clear that the days of looking the other way while innocent Americans pay the ultimate price for open borders are over.
The faces and names of victims like Matthew Denice, Ivory Smith, Sarah Root, and countless others serve as stark reminders of the human cost of failed immigration policies.
Each name on the list represents a family forever changed, holidays that will never be the same, and futures that will never be realized.
