Jean-Pierre is planning to blame Democrats for "betraying" Biden and causing President Donald Trump’s victory in the general election.
The timing couldn’t be more obvious.
Jean-Pierre spent years defending Biden’s mental decline from the White House podium, insisting he was sharp and capable.
Now she’s trying to cash in by painting him as a victim of his own party.
Former colleagues call Jean-Pierre a "grifter"
Jean-Pierre’s former colleagues aren’t buying her sudden transformation into an independent truth-teller.
According to Politico, the announcement "lit up Democratic and Biden alumni texting groups and reignited frustrations that burned for years about Jean-Pierre."
Seven former Biden administration officials spoke anonymously about their disgust with Jean-Pierre’s book deal.
"Everyone thinks this is a grift," one former colleague told Politico.
The criticism goes deeper than just the book announcement.
Former officials revealed that Jean-Pierre had been planning this move for months.
"She made a joke about being an independent last year and now it’s a book," another former staffer said. "All ideas are monetary — even the dumb ones."
Even more damaging, colleagues discovered that Jean-Pierre had begun working with a New York-based publicist while still serving in the White House.
She was reportedly copying the publicist on official emails before other White House colleagues had to intervene.
One former official recalled Jean-Pierre joking about becoming an independent even while on the job.

The real problem with Jean-Pierre’s book isn’t just the timing or the obvious money grab.
It’s a complete contradiction with everything she said while serving as Press Secretary.
For years, Jean-Pierre stood at that podium defending Biden’s record and attacking anyone who questioned his fitness for office.
She famously directed the media to call videos exposing Biden’s mental decline "cheap fakes."
Now she’s trying to rewrite history and portray Biden as a victim.
"SHE was the public face telling us all that this White House was on track and that Biden was amazing," one former official said in a group text. "And now she doesn’t even want to be a Democrat????"
Another former colleague who worked with Jean-Pierre before her White House tenure called the book "the most grift-y thing I’ve seen in a long time, and that’s saying something in Washington."
Democrat strategist Caitlin Legacki pushed back against Jean-Pierre’s narrative that Biden was betrayed.
"Kamala Harris and the entire Biden/Harris campaign did hero’s work to avoid losing 400 electoral votes and giving Republicans a supermajority in Congress, which is what would have happened if he stayed on the ticket," Legacki said.
She argued that it would be more productive to thank Biden for stepping aside rather than pretend it was an act of betrayal.
Jean-Pierre’s delusions of grandeur
Perhaps the most ridiculous part of Jean-Pierre’s transformation is her apparent belief that she can somehow bridge the partisan divide.
"She’s making herself the middle ground here when Republicans hate her," one former official pointed out. "She’s not in any position to be a connector of our two party system and assuming she could be is just ego."
Jean-Pierre seems to think that abandoning the Democrat Party will somehow give her credibility as an independent voice.
But Republicans remember her years of defending Biden’s failures and attacking Trump.
And now Democrats are furious that she’s trying to cash in by throwing Biden under the bus.
Jean-Pierre has managed to make enemies on both sides while positioning herself as some kind of principled independent.
The reality is that she’s just another Washington insider trying to profit from her time in government.
Her book deal proves that she was never really committed to the Democrat Party or to serving the American people.
