Joe Biden promised many things to the American people before he swooped into office this year.
Not all of those things were positive.
Now Joe Biden’s tax policy will turn his Presidency into a disaster for Democrats.
Joe Biden is just one American President who has promised great things when it actually means the opposite.
President Biden stated that a $4 trillion tax increase would take effect during his term but that it wouldn’t impact anyone making less than $400,000 per year.
“I’m not going to raise taxes on a single solitary American making less than $400,000 a year. You won’t pay a penny more. It’s a guarantee,” Biden said back in October.
This proved to be an empty promise after election day.
Recently, Press Secretary Jenn Psaki broke the new policy down for Americans in a press briefing, stating that the $400,000 income threshold would only apply to annual household income.
This means that if both a man and a woman in a household make $200,000 annually, their income taxes would increase.
The New York Times reported:
White House press secretary Jen Psaki on Wednesday clarified that President Biden’s proposed tax hike would apply to people who earn $200,000 per year if they are married to someone who makes the same amount.
Psaki said at her daily press briefing that the proposed $400,000 threshold for tax increases applies to “families” rather than individuals.These are the kinds of stipulations that come with Joe Biden’s tax increase. His blanket statement did not specify that the tax increase would still impact individuals who make less than $400,000 annually.
It was plain to see that Joe Biden would operate as a tool for the Left’s agenda, which seeks to “eat the rich” even though many Democrats live in or around that same tax bracket.
If Biden had been clearer in his statement regarding tax increases and how it would impact families and small businesses, perhaps Americans would have had another four years with Donald Trump.
This is only the beginning of Joe Biden’s administration beating around the bush on their inane policies.
