Joe Biden’s lawless Presidency suffered another reminder that the rule of law still reigns supreme in the United States of America.
This latest defeat came on one of Biden’s signature policy issues.
And Joe Biden just lost one court case that has Trump supporters jumping for joy.
U.S. District Court Judge Robert R. Summerhays issued a temporary restraining order blocking the Biden administration from ending Title 42, the Trump-era immigration policy that allowed for the government to immediately expel illegal aliens crossing the border and requesting asylum.
“For reasons stated on the record, the Court announced its intent to grant the motion. The parties will confer regarding the specific terms to be contained in the Temporary Restraining Order and attempt to reach agreement,” Judge Summerhays wrote.
Government officials estimated that between 500,000 and 600,000 illegal aliens could cross the border each month if Biden ended Title 42 on May 23.
The Republican state Attorneys General in Missouri and Louisiana – two of the states that sued to stop the Biden administration from ending Title 42 – praised the decision as a victory for the rule of law and American sovereignty.
“Today, the court announced its intention to grant a temporary restraining order in Missouri, Louisiana, and Arizona’s lawsuit against the Biden administration over their planned suspension of Title 42,” Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt’s statement read.
“This temporary restraining order is expected to keep Title 42 in place until further court proceedings, a critical win for border security and the rule of law,” Schmitt added.
“Biden’s reckless decision to rescind Title 42 would have flooded our already stressed southern border with illegal immigrants,” Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry declared.
“Fortunately, today a judge has granted our request to halt this enormous threat to our national security,” Landry continued. “We will continue to ensure that citizenship means something and that those in this country illegally are not conferred greater rights than our citizens.”
A new Rasmussen poll found 51 percent of likely voters believe Joe Biden encouraged illegal aliens to enter America.
Decisions like ending Title 42 are why Americans are justified in feeling that way.
But even in the face of overwhelming opposition in the polls as well as a mutiny among swing state Democrats, Joe Biden plunged ahead with his reckless plan to open the border and repeal Title 42.
However, Judge Summerhays temporarily put a stop to those plans for now.
