The crown jewel of Joe Biden’s radical agenda is the $3.5 trillion spending bill.
The big government socialist bill is a left-wing grab bag filled with virtually everything in the radical Left’s wish list.
From parts of the Green New Deal, handouts to Big Labor, and the largest tax increase of all time are all a part of Biden’s plan to fundamentally transform America.
The Democrats are using a controversial process called “budget reconciliation” to get around the filibuster in the Senate, which lets them pass so-called “spending bills” with fifty-one votes.
During this process, the Senate Parliamentarian acts as the referee of what is allowed to be considered “spending” for budget reconciliation bills.
But Biden’s open borders agenda suffered a major loss when the Senate Parliamentarian ruled that immigration changes couldn’t be included in the bill.
A key component of the bill Democrats are trying to ram through sought to give multiple classes of illegal aliens amnesty.
Roughly 6 million illegal aliens would have been eligible under the bill.
This is a major setback for the Biden agenda as reconciliation was the workaround for any Republican filibuster to ram through his socialist agenda.
The amnesty failure is another in a series of mounting problems for the $3.5 trillion bill.
Democrat Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia is reportedly saying Democrats need to hold off on the bill until 2022.
Manchin along with Arizona Democrat senator Kyrsten Sinema have balked at the $3.5 trillion price tag and some of the more radical provisions slipped into the bill.
With Biden’s poll numbers crashing and inflation running rampant throughout the economy, vulnerable Democrats looking with an eye towards the 2022 elections are nervous about potentially being held accountable by voters for passing the bill.
Biden came into office being touted as the new FDR with the chance to fundamentally transform America with socialist legislation.
With his big government socialist bill in peril and his regime collapsing he’s on the path to being the new Jimmy Carter.
