Jen Psaki was a loyal foot soldier in Joe Biden’s regime.

Now she can’t hide the truth about what she’s seeing.

And Jen Psaki spoke two words that let Joe Biden know his campaign is in big trouble.

Biden tries to explain away his debate debacle

President Joe Biden and his handlers have been trying to damage control in the aftermath of a horrific debate against former President Donald Trump.

Democrats are on edge after his dreadful showing, with a growing chorus calling for him to step aside.

Biden sat down with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos – a hatchet man for former President Bill Clinton – for his first interview after the debate.

The Democrat President needed a strong showing to reassure those within his own Party who are nervous about his ability to win re-election that he could salvage his campaign.

He brushed off the debate as a bad night and chalked up his performance to exhaustion.

Polling shows that Trump is leading nationally and in many of the critical battleground states that will ultimately decide the race.

But Biden claimed the race was still even.

“All the pollsters I talk to tell me it’s a toss-up. It’s a toss-up,” Biden said.

The Democrat President vowed that he was going to stay in the race despite the calls from some Democrats to throw in the towel.

Psaki socks it to Biden after his big ABC interview

Former Biden White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki served as Biden’s mouthpiece to the press before relinquishing the role to current Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

She admitted that her old boss appeared to be “in denial” and that his performance in the ABC interview was “just okay.”

Psaki admitted on her MSNBC show that Biden is facing serious questions about his political future.

“The speculation about Joe Biden’s future has been rampant and panic inside the Democratic Party has not gone away,” Psaki said. “The questions I know I’m getting from text messages from friends, from family are twofold: What’s going to happen and what is the best path forward? And I’m not going to sit here this afternoon and tell you I know the answer to either question.”

She stated that Biden didn’t do enough to calm the fears around his campaign in the interview.

“I would say it went just okay for the President,” Psaki said. “He seemed a little in denial about the state of the race and maybe confidence was a strategy going into this, project confidence about the path forward.”

The interview was the worst of both worlds for Democrats.

Biden didn’t have a game-changing gaffe to force him out of the race, but he also didn’t do anything to inspire confidence in his ability to resurrect his campaign and win the race.

“When the interview ended, it left us all in this sort of purgatory for the moment,” Psaki explained. “It was better than the debate, not a home run at all.”

Psaki served as Biden’s spin doctor, and she couldn’t put a happy face on Biden’s interview.

Democrats are going to be left with doubts about Joe Biden, and the Party will face endless speculation about replacing him until he officially receives the nomination.
