Jasmine Crockett made one embarrassing confession that turned her into a laughingstock

Jasmine Crockett has become one of the most talked-about Democrats in the Swamp.

But not for the reasons she thinks.

And Jasmine Crockett made one embarrassing confession that turned her into a laughingstock.

Crockett claims Republicans secretly admire her

Texas Democrat Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett told Politico that Republicans approach her constantly to profess their love for her work.

“I remember when we were doing our art competition in my district, and obviously it’s open to all the kids in the district, and I remember a father coming up to me and telling me, ‘I appreciate you for doing this competition. My daughter loved participating. I am a Republican, but I love you,'” Crockett said on “The Conversation” podcast.¹

“I have been in all kinds of cities and airports and otherwise where people walk up to me, and of course, they don’t have an ‘R’ on their forehead, but they tell me that they have a difference when it comes to politics, but they love me,” she continued.²

Crockett thinks Trump and other Republicans mocking her prove she’s doing something right.

“And so, I think it is that that actually concerns him, and it is a reason that he wants to make sure that he is doing everything that he can to stop us. But honestly, he only elevates us. It only makes people look at us and say, ‘Man, if he’s threatened by, you know, AOC, who’s still in her 30s, and me, who’s still technically in my early 40s, two women that are in the House, they must be doing something right,'” she added.³

The reality check hit fast and hard from conservatives who explained exactly why they’re fans of the controversy-prone Democrat.

BlazeTV host Pat Gray summed up what every conservative was thinking.

“They love you ’cause you’re so ridiculous,” Gray explained. “We want you out there as the face of the party.”⁴

Pattern of controversial statements draws Republican attention

Crockett has racked up a stunning collection of inflammatory remarks that make conservatives’ job of exposing Democrat extremism remarkably easy.

She called wheelchair-bound Texas Governor Greg Abbott “Governor Hot Wheels” during a Human Rights Campaign dinner in March 2025.⁵

After backlash, Crockett claimed the insult referenced Abbott’s migrant busing program, not his disability from a 1984 accident that left him paralyzed.

U.S. Representative Randy Weber filed a censure resolution against her for the attack.⁶

Crockett compared Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to slave patrols during an MSNBC interview.

“As somebody who understands history, when I see ICE, I see slave patrols,” Crockett told host Ali Velshi.⁷

She doubled down by claiming white supremacists commit murders at five times the rate of illegal immigrants, ignoring Immigration and Customs Enforcement data showing 13,000 convicted murderers and 1,845 people with pending homicide charges on their docket.⁸

During a speech at Grace Baptist Church, Crockett told congregants America needs robust immigration because “we done picking cotton.”⁹

The comment sparked immediate outrage as critics accused her of insulting both Black Americans and agricultural workers.

Attorney General Pam Bondi blasted Crockett after she expressed support for anti-Tesla protests targeting Elon Musk.

“On March 29, it’s my birthday, and all I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down,” Crockett posted on X.¹⁰

Bondi condemned the rhetoric as dangerous after vandalism attacks on Tesla vehicles followed Crockett’s statements.¹¹

President Trump has Crockett’s number

President Donald Trump repeatedly called Crockett a “low IQ person” after she blamed his rhetoric for creating a “culture of violence” following the Charlie Kirk assassination.¹²

“‘Congresswoman’ Jasmine Crockett is a Low (Very!!!) I.Q. Individual, much in the mold of the AOC Plus Three Gang of Country Destroying Morons-Only slightly dumber,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.¹³

Crockett fired back claiming Trump is “terrified of smart, bold Black women.”¹⁴

But Trump’s criticism resonates because Crockett admitted she prioritizes resisting the President over passing legislation.

“I think that people want to see somebody who fights and calls out the bullshit ultimately,” activist David Hogg said defending Crockett’s confrontational approach.¹⁵

She told “Lone Star Politics” in March that resisting Trump takes precedence over enacting policy.¹⁶

Conservative commentators point out Crockett misunderstands why Republicans cheer her on.

“My guess is she ends up in 100’s of Ads for Republicans this coming midterm,” one commenter wrote on X. “She is the gift that keeps giving.”¹⁷

Social media users mocked her claim that Republicans love her by suggesting they want her as the face of the Democrat Party precisely because she damages their brand.

“I would tell her the same,” another commenter explained. “She is the best advocate we have to further the Republican agenda.”¹⁸

Political analyst Mark Jones labeled Crockett’s provocative style “calculated” and “inauthentic.”

Jones noted her prep school education shows she’s playing a character designed to generate attention and media coverage for the Left wing.¹⁹

Democrats divided on Crockett’s tactics

Even some Democrats question whether Crockett’s confrontational approach helps or hurts the party.

Conservative commentator Jeffrey Blehar argued in National Review that Crockett’s “confident clap-backery is harming the Democrats.”²⁰

“It is the artificiality of her attempts to spark outrage that makes them fall so weirdly flat,” Blehar wrote.²¹

Crockett’s viral “bleach-blonde, bad-built, butch body” attack on Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene during a May 2024 House Oversight Committee hearing became a Saturday Night Live sketch.²²

The moment generated attention but didn’t advance any policy goals for her constituents in Texas’s 30th Congressional District.

Crockett told Roll Call that Republicans approached her after the Greene incident to compliment her.

“Republicans came up to me and said things like, ‘Good job,’ or ‘I love your eyelashes,'” Crockett claimed.²³

What she doesn’t understand is those Republicans weren’t complimenting her effectiveness at legislating.

They were thrilled Democrats had elevated someone who makes their political opponents look ridiculous.

Conservatives want Crockett front and center representing the Democrat brand because every outrageous statement she makes drives moderate voters away from the Left.

If Republicans tell Crockett they “love” her, they’re speaking the truth.

Just not the way she thinks they mean it.
