James Comer took everyone by surprise when he said these four words to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a lightning rod for controversy.

She excels at causing trouble.

And James Comer took everyone by surprise when he said these four words to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

During the pandemic, trillions of dollars in new spending was forced through Congress under the guise of helping working class Americans and businesses affected by the ruling class’ lockdowns.

These hastily passed programs, which lacked proper anti-fraud prevention, combined with the government’s general incompetence created a bonanza for scammers.

Estimates indicated upwards of $50 billion in taxpayer money was potentially stolen from these programs through fraud.

The House Oversight Committee is investigating the massive waste, fraud, and abuse of these pandemic relief programs.

Committee member Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) used a hearing on pandemic fraud to try and score some cheap political points.

She accused Republicans on the Committee, led by Rep. James Comer (R-KY), of “rank partisanship” because the GOP sent letters to New York, California, and Pennsylvania asking for information about fraud and improper payments in their unemployment insurance system.

A fuming Ocasio-Cortez called out Rep. Comer for not investigating Republican-led states for their suspected fraud.

She cited a report that exposed pandemic fraud in Louisiana, Arizona, and Comer’s home state of Kentucky.

In Kentucky, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez noted that state government employees applied for unemployment benefits while still on the state payroll, and used the state’s computer system to remove holds on their accounts.

“None of these states have been put under investigation by this Committee,” Ocasio-Cortez fumed. “I find it very interesting because as was stated at the beginning, the bipartisan nature of oversight is what gives it its power.”

She called Comer’s approach “highly questionable,” and said that Democrats on the Committee were ready to provide real oversight.

“But I cannot, for the life of me, understand why the majority would send these three letters just to these three states,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “That leaves us with no other conclusion that [sic] there needs to be some rank partisanship in this investigation.”

Congressman Comer, one of Republicans’ top watchdogs in Congress, left Ocasio-Cortez dumbfounded with his response.

He said that he would “love to work with” her on a joint investigation into fraud committed in Kentucky.

“I would love to work with you on that or any of the 50 states, because I believe it’s a problem in all 50 states, especially Kentucky,” Comer replied. “You’re exactly right.”

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez thought she was going to have a “gotcha moment” with Comer, but he simply gave her a reality check.

Unlike the socialist Congresswoman, he’s trying to get the bottom of pandemic fraud, no matter where it’s found.

During the opening of the hearing, Rep. Comer said that pandemic fraud is “the greatest theft of American taxpayer dollars in history.”

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez utterly humiliated herself after she exposed her own rank partisanship attacking James Comer.
