President Trump just did what Ilhan Omar spent her entire career trying to prevent—he unleashed Immigration and Customs Enforcement directly into the heart of Minneapolis's Somali community.
ICE deployed approximately 100 federal officers to the Twin Cities in a targeted operation focusing on Somali illegal aliens with final deportation orders.
For years, Omar built her political brand on attacking ICE, demanding the agency be abolished, and shielding illegal aliens from deportation.
She defended comparing ICE detention facilities to "concentration camps" and called for the agency to be defunded and abolished.
Now those same agents are operating in her own backyard, rounding up the illegal aliens she spent years protecting.
The crackdown comes after Army Specialist Sarah Beckstrom was shot dead and Air Force Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe was critically wounded by Rahmanullah Lakanwal, a 29-year-old Afghan who entered the U.S. in 2021.
Sarah Beckstrom was 24 years old, serving her country in the nation's capital when an Afghan immigrant who got into America under Biden's failed withdrawal ambushed her and another soldier.
Lakanwal had worked with American troops and the CIA, received special consideration to enter the United States, then repaid that generosity by shooting two National Guardsmen.
Trump connected the dots between failed immigration policies and dead American soldiers—something Omar never wanted anyone to do.
The President authorized the ICE deployment less than a week after the shooting, making clear that sanctuary city protection for illegal aliens is over.
Omar's panicked response told you everything about how scared she is.
"His obsession with me is creepy. I hope he gets the help he desperately needs," Omar posted on social media after Trump called her out.
That's retreat mode—deflecting to Trump's mental health instead of defending the billion-dollar fraud operation happening in her own community.

Minnesota has become ground zero for the largest welfare fraud operation in American history, with over $1 billion stolen from programs meant to feed children, assist the homeless, and provide autism therapy.
Federal prosecutors have charged 86 people—mostly from the Somali community Omar represents—with stealing taxpayer money through fake companies that billed the state for millions in social services that were never actually provided.
One central case involved the nonprofit Feeding Our Future, which claimed to serve tens of thousands of meals to low-income children during the pandemic.
Prosecutors say most of those meals never existed.
The stolen money bought luxury homes, cars, jewelry, and real estate abroad—and here's the part that should terrify every American—some funds ended up in the hands of jihadists in North Africa.
