Kamala Harris keeps creating political problems for the Biden administration and the Democrat Party.
Eventually someone will decide keeping Harris on the ticket is more trouble than it’s worth.
That became obvious after Fox News called out Kamala Harris for this insane lie about the Supreme Court.
Vice President Kamala Harris exemplified Democrats thrashing about after the Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade in the landmark Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision.
Democrats thought the Supreme Court’s decision to end nationwide abortion on demand would reset the Midterm elections, take the focus off President Joe Biden’s failures, and give them a chance to hold onto power.
But polls show President Biden’s approval rating is continuing to fall as Americans have zeroed in on how Biden’s socialist agenda sent inflation soaring to a 40-year high and keeps gas prices more than $2.00 higher than they were when he took office just 18 months ago.
That led to Democrats, like Vice President Harris, engaging in even more extremist rhetoric on the abortion issue.
During a speech at a National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) event, Harris compared the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade to slavery, saying America has a “history of claiming ownership over human bodies.”
Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy asked White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre if President Biden agreed with his Vice President’s assertion that protecting the lives of unborn babies was equivalent to slavery.
“Does the President agree with her that the recent Supreme Court decision on abortion access is similar to slavery?” Doocy asked Jean-Pierre.
At that point, even someone as incompetent as Karine Jean-Pierre knew she was about to step into a political minefield, so she tried to duck the question by offering up the very plausible explanation that she was unaware of Vice President Harris’ comments.
“I have not seen her comments,” Jean-Pierre responded. “I would like to see her comments for myself before —”
Doocy interjected by reading back the exact quotes Harris made at the NAACP event.
“Her comment was ‘we know, NAACP, that our country has a history of claiming ownership over human bodies. And today extremist, so-called leaders are criminalizing doctors and punishing women from making healthcare decisions for themselves,’” Doocy stated.
Jean-Pierre completely ignored the Vice President’s comments about slavery to focus on Harris’ false claims that pro-life legislation punished and criminalized women.
“Well, she’s correct,” Jean-Pierre claimed. “Today’s decisions are criminalizing doctors and essentially taking the rights away from women. Taking the freedom away from women. Really, taking away people’s privacy, that does matter. I appreciate you reading out what she said, I need to actually see exactly what was said in the complete context. That’s what I need to do as a spokesperson for the administration.”
“But I will say, the second part of what she said, the Vice President is actually right,” she continued. “I just laid out what women are going through in this country because of an extreme decision that SCOTUS made. Because of what they did, it is going to upend and change the lives of women across the country.”
Abortion is not the political ace in the hole Democrats boasted it would be.
That realization is just now setting in.
And it’s causing leftists like Kamala Harris to act even more insane than usual.
