Elon Musk just endorsed this Republican for President in 2024

Tesla CEO Elon Musk declared he would vote Republican for the first time in his life in 2022.

But Musk plans on going even farther than that.

And Elon Musk just endorsed this Republican for President in 2024.

The world’s richest individual, Elon Musk, has announced that he voted for Republican Mayra Flores in Texas’s 34th Congressional District special election this week.

Flores, a Mexican-American woman who won in a district Democrats have won almost exclusively for over 100 years, is the first Republican Musk has ever voted for.

That naturally led to the question of which Republican Elon Musk was looking to back in 2024.

Musk revealed that while he hasn’t made a final decision, he is leaning towards supporting Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) in the next Presidential election.

Musk added that in 2020, he supported Democrat Andrew Yang, but that Governor DeSantis stands a better chance of actually being elected President.

For his part, Governor DeSantis responded to potentially receiving the support of the Tesla and Spacex CEO with a bit of humor.

Musk was born in South Africa before becoming a naturalized U.S. citizen.

During a press conference, DeSantis joked that he was always happy to win the support of “African Americans,” as Musk was born in South Africa before becoming a naturalized U.S. citizen.

Musk telegraphed he was looking for a Republican to support in 2024.

Previously, Musk wrote that while he thought former President Donald Trump was too polarizing, Joe Biden turned out to be a rubber stamp for a socialist revolution hellbent on changing America.

“Even though I think a less divisive candidate would be better in 2024, I still think Trump should be restored to Twitter,” Musk wrote, after questions were raised about how he would handle Trump’s ban if he ultimately finalized a deal to acquire Twitter.

“Biden’s mistake is that he thinks he was elected to transform the country, but actually everyone just wanted less drama,” Musk concluded.

Elon Musk is part of a growing cohort of Americans who formerly voted for Democrats but are now rejecting their woke ideology.

Specifically, Musk has appeared to be especially fired up by the new left-wing trend of policing what pronouns Americans are allowed to use, and the Left’s efforts to abolish freedom of speech, as well as the free flow of news and information.

Governor Ron DeSantis is certainly one of the top Republicans leading the fight in both of those arenas.

So it’s not very surprising that Elon Musk would view Governor DeSantis as the candidate he could possibly support in 2024.
