Fox News was the one corporate-controlled media outlet that provided fair coverage of Donald Trump.
But something happened.
And Donald Trump let the cat out of the bag about a huge change on Fox News that no one saw coming.
Former President Donald Trump unloaded on Fox and Friends Monday morning after co-host Steve Doocy played up a poll of Republican voters in Florida that showed Governor Ron DeSantis leading Trump, 61% to 39%, in a hypothetical Republican Presidential Primary.
Trump accused the hosts of playing down the straw poll he won at this past weekend’s Turning Point USA summit, and wondered aloud if former RINO Speaker of the House Paul Ryan – who sits on Fox News Channel’s corporate board – was now in charge of the network’s programming.
“@foxandfriends just really botched my poll numbers, no doubt on purpose,” the former President posted on Truth Social. “That show has been terrible – gone to the “dark side.” They quickly quote the big Turning Point Poll victory of almost 60 points over the number two Republican, and then hammer me with outliers.”
“Actually, almost all polls have me leading all Republicans & Biden BY A LOT.” Trump continued. “RINO Paul Ryan, one of the weakest and worst Speakers EVER, must be running the place. Anyway, thank you to Turning Point, the crowd & “love” was AMAZING!”
While Paul Ryan may not be solely in charge of Fox News’ direction, the Murdoch family-controlled media empire is done with Donald Trump.
Of course, the Murdoch Family not only owns Fox News, but The New York Post and The Wall Street Journal as well.
Both The Journal and The Post gladly parroted the lies and smears from the January 6 Committee witch hunt to claim Trump should never again serve as President.
“Mr. Trump took an oath to defend the Constitution, and he had a duty as Commander-in-Chief to protect the Capitol from a mob attacking it in his name,” The Wall Street Journal’s editorial board wrote. “He refused. He didn’t call the military to send help. He didn’t call [then-Vice President Mike Pence] to check on the safety of his loyal VP. Instead he fed the mob’s anger and let the riot play out.”
“It’s up to the Justice Department to decide if [Trump’s inaction during January 6] is a crime,” an editorial for The New York Post claimed. “But as a matter of principle, as a matter of character, Trump has proven himself unworthy to be this country’s chief executive again.”
It is now clear that if Donald Trump runs for President again in 2024, he will not only have to contend with other Republicans, the corporate-controlled media, and Democrats, but Murdoch family-owned media entities as well.
