Donald Trump just made an announcement about a former NFL superstar that could cost Chuck Schumer his job in 2022

Even though Democrats control the entire federal government, they only enjoy slim majorities in both the House and Senate.

Republicans only need to flip one seat to take back the Senate.

And Donald Trump just made an announcement about a former NFL superstar that could cost Chuck Schumer his job in 2022.

On Tuesday, former President Donald Trump appeared as the first guest on the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show, which now fills the time slot once occupied by legendary radio host Rush Limbaugh.

During the interview, Trump ripped the Democrats on everything from the Wuhan Lab leak theory to Joe Biden’s disastrous Presidency.

But Trump also talked about the question on the mind of most Republican voters – and that’s whether or not he plans to run for President again in 2024.

“The most logical date would be right after 2022, right?” Trump responded when asked when he planned to announce his decision.

Of course, in recent weeks, Donald Trump made a splash by telling Republicans he would run for President if the GOP took back the House and Senate in 2022.

Right now, Republicans only need to flip five seats to take back the House.

But they only need to flip one seat to fire Chuck Schumer as Majority Leader.

That’s why the announcement Donald Trump made about former 1982 Heisman Trophy winner and former Dallas Cowboys running back superstar, Herschel Walker, has Chuck Schumer worried sick about losing his job in 2022.

When talking about the importance of Republicans taking back the Senate in 2022, Donald Trump brought up the swing state of Georgia, where Democrat Senator Raphael Warnock is facing re-election in 2022 after winning the 2020 special election for the seat.

“He told me he’s going to. I think he will,” Trump said when asked if Herschel Walker was planning to run against Raphael Warnock in 2022.

“I had dinner with him a week ago. He’s a great guy, he’s a patriot, and he’s a very loyal person. They love him in Georgia. He was the greatest running back in the history of the state. He is one of the best in the history of the country,” continued Trump.

“I think he’d win. I think it would be very, very hard to beat Herschel. Beating him would be very tough. And I think he’s going to run,” concluded Trump, telling the hosts that he believed Walker would run based on conversations he’s had recently with him.
