President Donald Trump is about to drop a political earthquake on Washington, D.C.
The left-wing establishment thought they could keep gaming the system forever.
But Trump just delivered a brutal truth that will leave Democrats shell-shocked about the census.
Trump Takes Aim at Decades of Democrat Vote Manipulation
For years, Democrats have been rigging America’s census in a way that steals power from American citizens.
They count every illegal alien in the official population numbers that decide congressional representation and Electoral College votes.
This corrupt practice hands extra political clout to blue states while cheating red states out of the representation their citizens deserve.
Now President Trump is ready to blow this whole corrupt system wide open.
White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller made it crystal clear last month that the Trump administration is determined "to clean up the census and make sure that illegal aliens are not counted."¹
This isn’t just about numbers on a page.
This is about the fundamental question of whether American citizens get to control their own government or whether foreign nationals who broke our laws get a say in our elections.
The stakes couldn’t be higher because the census count directly determines how many House seats each state receives and how many Electoral College votes they get in presidential elections.
The Numbers Don’t Lie About Democrat Cheating
Research into immigration patterns reveals shocking numbers that prove Democrats have been cheating the system.
If authorities had properly excluded illegal aliens from the 2010 census, the entire political landscape would be different.
Red states like Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, Ohio, and North Carolina would each have gained one additional House seat.
Blue California would have lost three seats, while Texas and Florida would have each dropped one seat.²
That’s a massive shift in political power that Democrats have been stealing from red states for over a decade.
Think about it this way: every House seat that California gets because they’re harboring millions of illegal aliens is a seat that gets taken away from states like Ohio or North Carolina where actual American citizens live.
It’s taxation without representation all over again, except this time it’s Democrats in Washington, D.C. doing it to their own countrymen.
The worst part is that this system creates a perverse incentive for blue states to become sanctuary jurisdictions.
The more illegal aliens they can attract and protect, the more political power they get in Congress.
Democrats Are Already Scrambling to Stop Trump
Democrats know their game is up, which is why they’re already freaking out about Trump’s plan.
During his first term, President Trump tried to fix this rigged system by excluding illegal aliens from the census count.
But before he could implement the policy, Joe Biden swooped in and overturned it on his very first day in office.
Biden claimed that excluding people based on immigration status would "conflict with the principle of equal representation enshrined in our Constitution, census statutes, and historical tradition."³
That’s rich coming from the party that spent four years trying to throw Trump in prison and calling half the country domestic terrorists.
When Trump tried to add a simple citizenship question to the census in 2018, Democrats sued him all the way to the Supreme Court.
They claimed asking people if they’re citizens would somehow "chill immigrant respondents" and lead to an "unconstitutional undercount."
Translation: Democrats were terrified that if people had to admit they weren’t citizens, it would expose just how many illegal aliens they’ve been using to steal political power.
Red States Are Fighting Back Hard
This time around, Trump won’t be fighting this battle alone.
Just three days before Trump’s inauguration, four red states – Louisiana, Kansas, Ohio, and West Virginia – launched a major lawsuit against the Commerce Department.
These red states are arguing that counting foreigners including illegal aliens robs "the people of the Plaintiff States of their rightful share of political representation, while systematically redistributing political power to states with high numbers of illegal aliens and nonimmigrant aliens."⁴
They want the federal court to completely scrap the current "Residence Rule" that lets the Census Bureau count illegal aliens in the apportionment base.
The states are also demanding that the Census Bureau include citizenship questions on the survey so Americans can finally see how many non-citizens are actually living in each state.
Christopher Hajec, director of litigation at the Immigration Reform Law Institute representing Kansas in the lawsuit, put it perfectly: "Whatever Congress does or does not do, our position is that the Constitution implies that illegal aliens should not be counted in the census for apportionment."⁵
Congress Is Ready to Back Trump Up
Republicans in Congress aren’t waiting around either.
The Equal Representation Act would force the census to ask about citizenship and remove all non-citizens from apportionment calculations.
This common-sense bill passed the House last year but died in the Democrat-controlled Senate.
Now with Republicans controlling both chambers of Congress, this common-sense legislation has a real shot at becoming law.
North Carolina Republican Rep. Chuck Edwards, who reintroduced the bill, told reporters that "Americans deserve fair and equal representation, something that will not be possible until we eliminate the influence of noncitizens in our elections."⁶
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer from Kentucky agrees completely.
"American citizens’ representation in Congress should not be determined by individuals who are not citizens of the United States," Comer said.⁷
The Constitutional Case Is Rock Solid
Democrats love to screech about the Constitution when it suits them, but they conveniently ignore what it actually says about this issue.
The 14th Amendment refers to counting "the whole number of persons in each State," but it carves out an important exception for "Indians not taxed" – people who weren’t citizens or part of America’s political community.
Conservative legal scholar John Eastman argues that the Declaration of Independence’s "consent principle" – the idea that government gets its power from the American people – "compels that only citizens be counted for purposes of reapportionment."⁸
The founders excluded Native Americans who weren’t citizens from the count because they understood that representation should be based on people who are actually part of our political system.
If anything, the case for excluding illegal aliens is even stronger since they’re here in direct violation of our laws.
President Trump’s 2020 memorandum on this issue hit the nail on the head: "respect for the law and protection of the integrity of the democratic process warrant the exclusion of illegal aliens from the apportionment base, to the extent feasible and to the maximum extent of the President’s discretion under the law."⁹
Democrats’ Worst Nightmare Is Coming True
The beauty of Trump’s strategy this time is that he’s got multiple paths to victory.
Even if activist judges try to block his executive actions like they did before, the red state lawsuit gives him another avenue to get the same result.
And if both of those approaches face delays, Republicans in Congress can pass the Equal Representation Act and force the issue legislatively.
Democrats are caught in a trap of their own making.
They can’t defend counting illegal aliens for political representation without admitting that’s exactly what they’ve been doing all along.
And they can’t claim it’s unconstitutional to ask about citizenship without looking like they’re trying to hide something massive from the American people.
The truth is finally coming out about how Democrats have been rigging the system for decades.
Soon every American will know that blue states have been stealing political power by harboring millions of illegal aliens and counting them in the census.
Once that happens, there’s no going back to the old corrupt system.
Trump is about to restore the principle that American elections should be decided by American citizens – and Democrats are powerless to stop him.
