Donald Trump gave Elon Musk one answer that has all hell breaking loose

Twitter is turning over a new leaf under Elon Musk’s leadership.

That left Donald Trump with a major decision to make.

And Donald Trump gave Elon Musk one answer that has all hell breaking loose.

Former President Donald Trump’s mastery of Twitter and social media in general helped propel him to an upset victory in the 2016 Presidential election.

Twitter allowed Trump to break through the corporate-controlled media’s gatekeepers and speak directly to the public.

During his time on the platform, the former President racked up more than 86 million followers, and drove Democrats crazy 280 characters at a time.

In the aftermath of January 6, Twitter gave Trump a lifetime ban due to the supposed “risk of further incitement of violence.”

Faced with a lifetime ban from Twitter, Trump launched Truth Social as a competitor to the social media giants.

Now, Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter has ushered in a new era for the entire social media sector with his commitment to free speech.

Immediately, the question became whether or not Musk would reinstate Trump’s Twitter account, as he had also previously expressed his opposition to all lifetime bans.

True to the “power to the people” mantra he’s taken on since completing his purchase of the platform, Musk left the ultimate decision over whether Trump would be reinstated to Twitter’s users.

After 15 million Twitter users voted in a poll Musk personally posted to the platform, 52% supported bringing back Trump and 48% who opposed it.

“The people have spoken,” Musk wrote. “Trump will be reinstated.”

After Twitter users voiced their support for bringing back Trump, his account was restored.

But with Truth Social gaining momentum, the question then became whether Trump would even want to return to Twitter.

During a speech to the Republican Jewish Coalition’s annual leadership meeting, the former President said he had “no reason” to make a return to the social media platform.

“I hear we’re getting a big vote to also go back on Twitter,” Trump said. “I don’t see any reason for it, they have a lot of problems at Twitter, you see what’s going on. It may make it, it may not make it.”

Trump said that he liked Musk’s purchase of Twitter and him personally, but that Twitter’s problems, like fake accounts and negative engagement, are “terrible.”

“Truth Social has been very, very powerful, very, very strong, and I’ll be staying there,” Trump told the audience.

Trump also said that Truth Social “has taken the place for a lot of people, and I don’t see them going back onto Twitter.”

He had previously stated that he wouldn’t return to Twitter, and it appears he’s making good on that promise.

Donald Trump is charting a new path forward on social media with his decision to stick with Truth Social over making a triumphant return to Twitter.
