From gun bans to outright gun confiscation, Joe Biden is pushing for a litany of new gun control laws.
Biden falsely claims that gun control is the only way to stop more shootings.
But Democrats don’t want you to know what Joe Biden once said about gun control in the Senate.
President Joe Biden and the Democrats are determined to use the horrific shooting in Uvalde, Texas, as an excuse to carry out their longtime goal of banning and confiscating firearms in America.
During a speech from the White House on Thursday, President Biden demanded Congress take action and send a number of new gun control laws to his desk.
In his speech, Biden called for a ban on so-called “assault weapons” and “high-capacity” magazines, pushed for a national gun registration database, and demanded they enact red flag confiscation laws that allow left-wing judges to order police to barge into a home and seize firearms based on hearsay evidence.
And if Congress will not ban “assault weapons,” then President Biden urged them to at least raise the age to purchase a rifle from 18 to 21.
“I know that we can’t prevent every tragedy, but here’s what I believe we have to do. We need to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines,” Biden claimed, adding that, “if we can’t ban assault weapons, then we should raise the age to purchase them from 18 to 21.”
Biden then went on and on, ranting and raving about the necessity to pass new gun control laws, while claiming gun bans and confiscation are the only ways to stop any future shooting from occurring.
“My fellow Americans, enough. Enough,” Biden ranted. “It’s time for each of us to do our part. It’s time to act.”
But what Joe Biden and other Democrats do not want you to know is that he previously argued against gun control during a Senate hearing on the Firearm Owners Protection Act (FOPA) in 1985.
“During my 12 and a half years as a member of this body, I have never believed that additional gun control or federal registration of guns would reduce crime,” Biden said at the time. “I am convinced that a criminal who wants a firearm can get one through illegal, untraceable, unregistered sources, with or without gun control.”
Of course, Joe Biden was right when he argued against gun control in 1985.
Gun control does nothing to stop criminals.
After all, most shooting deaths occur in the cities and states with the strictest gun laws on the books, like Chicago, where dozens of Americans are gunned down every weekend.
Gun control only harms law-abiding citizens by preventing them from having the ability to protect themselves, and their loved ones, against criminals and government tyranny.
President Biden knows this is true.
That’s why he argued it in 1985.
But gun control is part of the Democrats’ radical, socialist agenda.
