Tim Walz was a nobody in Democrat politics just a month ago.
Now we know why Democrats were hiding Walz from the public’s eye.
And Democrats are in total meltdown after Tim Walz completely imploded on live TV.
Walz who?
Political parties have a history of building up their “next generation” of candidates.
It isn’t just to build up name IDs, but also as a tool to vet future leaders to make sure they are up to the task of managing the national spotlight.
Just look at Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH), who is now Trump’s running mate despite having not been elected to any office until two years ago.
But Vance has been more than willing to spread the America First message far and wide, allowing him to build up a base of support in a short period of time that ultimately helped him become Trump’s running mate.
The same can’t be said for Minnesota Democrat Governor Tim Walz, as he was completely unknown to even most Democrats up until last month.
Walz has been in national politics for decades, but he was still a nobody for most Democrats and Americans.
So when he was selected as Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate, nearly everyone was shocked.
And then came the reason why parties build up their candidates.
Right out of the gate, it was crystal clear that Tim Walz was a gaff machine with lots of skeletons hidden in his past.
Walz digs himself a bigger hole
One of the biggest issues from his past – which he has yet to apologize for – is his continued assertion that he was “in war” and used what he calls a “weapon of war” in many speeches throughout his political career.
In the joint interview of Walz and Kamala with CNN’s Dana Bash, Dana asked Walz, “You said that you carried weapons in war, but you have never deployed actually in a war zone. A campaign official said that you misspoke. Did you?”
Walz looked agitated to be asked about his past lies and he responded to the question by saying, “My record speaks for itself, but I think people are coming to get to know me. I speak like they do. I speak candidly. I wear my emotions on my sleeves, and I speak especially passionately about our children being shot in schools and around guns.”
After getting pressed again about his lies from Bash, Walz claimed, “We were talking about, in these cases, this was after school shooting, the ideas of carrying these weapons of war, and my wife, the English teacher, told me my grammar is not always correct.”

It’s sad that Walz can’t admit that he is wrong, but it’s even worse that the lies are around his military service.
