Republicans are finally getting aggressive in the culture wars.
For years they’ve stood idly by as left-wing radicals ravished society.
And now, Democrats are in a panic after Sarah Huckabee Sanders made one move to fight the “woke” mob.
Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders is already off to a better start than her predecessor, establishment RINO Asa Hutchinson.
Governor Sanders delivered the Republican response to President Joe Biden’s State of the Union Address earlier this year, and she touched on the “woke” invasion of government schools, even those in Republican-led states.
Now, the Arkansas state legislature has proposed a bill that would prohibit public schools from forcing teachers to use a student’s preferred pronouns.
In other words, a teacher would not be compelled to use whatever made-up pronoun a student creates on that particular day.
“You cannot force a teacher or a state employee to use whatever somebody believes, thinks, or wants as a pronoun,” state Rep. Marcus Richmond said in an interview. “When you start changing the rules— which is what it looks like for me, then it’s going to be impossible for somebody who comes here to pick up English as a second language. So there are rules and words. Our language, a lot of times, the meaning is built into the context in which, how it’s used.”
In 2016, Canadian psychologist Dr. Jordan B. Peterson rose to prominence for opposing compelled speech in Canada on this exact issue.
In Canada, refusing to use someone’s preferred pronouns could lead to criminal charges.
“I would ask the people that oppose the bill to consider the fact that tolerance is a two-way street,” state Rep. Wayne Long added. “And I think it would be good policy for everyone to tolerate the people that have a deeply held religious conviction regarding this matter.”
It’s unbelievable that America has even come to this point.
Not even Republican-led states are immune to the insanity of woke left-wing radicals.
As Governor Sanders mentioned in her State of the Union response, “Most Americans simply want to live their lives in freedom and peace, but we are under attack in a left-wing culture war we didn’t start and never wanted to fight.”
“The dividing line in America is no longer between Right or Left – the choice is between normal or crazy,” she added.
The inmates are running the asylum on the Left, and they are spreading their ridiculous ideas all across the country.
