Chuck Schumer is up to his ears in problems.
He was blindsided by this growing disaster.
Now, Chuck Schumer is panicking after Democrats sounded the alarm in this key swing state.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is in the fight of his political life to hang on to control of the U.S. Senate after November’s Midterm elections.
Senate Democrats are clinging to a paper-thin majority of just 50 seats plus Vice President Kamala Harris to break the tie, leaving them no margin for error.
Senator Schumer is hoping to flip Pennsylvania’s Senate seat into the Democrat column in the wake of incumbent Senator Pat Toomey’s (R-PA) retirement.
That has made Pennsylvania one the biggest battleground states in the country, after the state went down to the wire in each of the past two Presidential elections.
Dr. Mehmet Oz squeaked through a crowded Republican Senate Primary in the state after receiving the endorsement of former President Donald Trump.
He’s being opposed by the state’s Democrat Lieutenant Governor, John Fetterman, a “Democratic socialist” acolyte of Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) who wants to become the Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of the Senate.
The race was turned on its head after Lt. Gov. Fetterman suffered a stroke in May, two days before the Pennsylvania Primary, forcing him to take three months off from the campaign trail, while he told all sorts of different stories about his health to the corporate-controlled media.
The New York Times reported that Fetterman’s campaign team kept details about his health quiet before the Primary.
The campaign has also refused to allow Fetterman’s doctors to answer any questions about his ability to serve, or even reveal the results of a cognitive test that he supposedly took to quail any fears of lingering issues.
After Fetterman’s return to the campaign trail, the truth about his physical state is still being hidden, as his campaign team has carefully managed appearances to keep his public speaking to a minimum.
But what little talking Fetterman has done revealed major concerns, as he frequently stumbles over his words, has issues forming coherent sentences, and routinely forgets what he was talking about two seconds prior.
Now, even Democrats are sounding the alarm after a recent campaign stop in Erie, Pennsylvania, where Fetterman delivered a jumbled nine-minute speech marked by “stumbled, paused or missed words” that caused the audience “discomfort,” according to the New York Post.
“I knew he had had health issues, I did not realize the extent they had affected him,” one Democrat voter from Erie said.
At a rally with steelworkers, Fetterman’s troubles continued during a four-minute speech in front of a friendly union audience.
“What is wrong with demanding for an easy, safe, kind of their income,” Fetterman said. “A path to a safe place for them to win – excuse me – o work?”
Nevertheless, Fetterman’s campaign seems content to keep him hidden while relying on staffers to write statements for him on social media.
“Some tricky, cute tweet coming at the people of Pennsylvania again and again and again, with scarcely a word on substantive issues — if that is all his brain can remember, that is unacceptable,” another uneasy Pennsylvania Democrat said. “He seems to think he can ride out the storm and not debate.”
After declining every debate request to date, Fetterman supposedly agreed to one debate with Dr. Oz just weeks before the election, and after early voting had already began, although it’s still to be seen if he’ll show up.
With Democrats becoming uneasy over John Fetterman’s health, the Pennsylvania Senate race is quickly becoming a major headache for Chuck Schumer.
