Chuck Schumer’s dream of leading the Senate has turned into a nightmare.
After the Democrats wrecked the country, everything is going wrong for Schumer.
But now, Chuck Schumer is panicking after a union boss made this jaw-dropping admission.
With Biden’s socialist agenda stalling out in the Senate, Chuck Schumer is having a rough time these days.
Even worse for him is that the Midterm elections are right around the corner.
Schumer is holding on to control in the Senate with the smallest possible majority.
With only 50 Democrat Senators, he can’t afford to lose a single seat.
Of course, Biden’s disastrous approval ratings are setting Senate Democrats up for a rough election.
But now, Schumer has another headache to deal with in his battle for control of the Senate.
Entering the third year of the pandemic, the public is ready to move on and return to normal.
People are fed up with the hysteria and totalitarian restrictions.
The polling on COVID restrictions is so bad that even some blue states are starting to throw in the towel.
Masking children in schools has become a major losing issue.
Parents are furious at this anti-science policy based solely on hysteria.
But one of Democrat’s biggest allies, the teachers unions, aren’t ready to back off.
Randy Weingarten, the union boss leading one of the nation’s largest teachers unions, dropped a bombshell on MSNBC.
She was asked, “At what point do we get rid of the mask. Isn’t there enough science already?”
“What are the measures so that everybody knows so it doesn’t feel like it’s based upon politics, it feels like it’s based upon making sure there is no transmission in schools,” Weingarten replied.
No transmission in schools is an impossible standard.
Weingarten’s statement sets up permanent masking in schools by using an impossible criteria for getting rid of masks.
None of this is based on any kind of science or protecting kids, but rather the demands of union bosses like Weingarten.
Last year, the CDC let the teachers unions write CDC policy for reopening schools.
States like Florida, which kept schools open and banned mandatory masking, thrived without significant harm to teachers or students.
Kids are suffering from masking and parents are rightly angry about it.
This becomes a massive catch-22 for Schumer and Democrats to deal with.
Masking kids is a losing political issue, but they’re in the pocket of the unions.
Teachers unions pour millions of dollars into the campaigns of Democrats and provide them with massive Get-Out-The-Vote efforts.
Their support is essential for Democrats to have any chance of holding on to control of the Senate.
While Schumer might want to get away from masking in schools, he’s consistently made the interests of the union bosses his top priority.
Caught between a rock and a hard place, this is going to keep Schumer up at night as he tries to keep his majority in the Senate.
