Biden’s gun-grabbing ATF nominee has many asking questions and the White House is keeping quiet about his future

Joe Biden has nominated several questionable characters to head up some critical departments.

Not surprisingly, many of Biden’s picks are radically liberal.

And Biden’s gun-grabbing ATF nominee has many asking questions, and the White House is keeping quiet about his future.

Biden’s pick to lead the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) is one of the more controversial nominees.

David Chipman is a well-known gun control activist who has been said to have a short fuse.

Chipman has been in the hot seat throughout his Senate confirmation.

Scores of lawmakers and organizations have come out in strong opposition to his nomination.

In one case, the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) announced that for the first time in its 60-year history, the organization is launching a TV ad targeting Chipman.

The ad by the NSSF asserts that Chipman wants to “ban guns.”

Chipman was formerly employed by Representative Gabby Giffords’ gun control group, causing many to believe this pick by Biden is purely to try and stamp out Americans’ Second Amendment rights.

In an opinion article, Chipman wrote that he believes the Constitution’s Second Amendment envisions firearms as being “well regulated.”

This and many other statements by Chipman are a clear indication that he is nothing more than a liberal gun-grabber.

When asked by Senator Tom Cotton during a Senate committee hearing, “what is an assault weapon” Chipman stumbled over his answer and, in the end, declared basically every modern sporting rifle an assault weapon.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki has been quiet on the issue of Chipman’s confirmation process.

When asked about it back in April, Psaki merely stated it is, “up to the Senate.”

Chipman’s confirmation vote made it out of the Senate Judiciary Committee, not surprisingly split down party lines.

However, his full Senate confirmation vote is less certain and far from set in stone.

In a shocking move, both current and former ATF members have come out against Chipman, warning about his desire to ban assault weapons and get rid of liability protections for gun manufacturers.

Chipman also wants to increase inspections of federally licensed gun dealers.

It is possible that Chipman’s confirmation comes down to a handful of Second Amendment supporting Democrats.

Whatever the outcome is, there is no doubt this was a completely political maneuver by Biden and his people to put someone in place that is sure to steal Americans’ freedoms.
