Biden’s FBI director Christopher Wray had a very bad day and the worst is yet to come

The American people are fed up with the feds.

And no federal agency has caused itself more damage than the once proud FBI.

That’s why Biden’s FBI director Christopher Wray just had a very bad day and the worst is yet to come.

In recent U.S. Senate hearings, FBI Director Christopher Wray came under fire from Senators Rand Paul (R-KY), Josh Hawley (R-MO), and others.

Senator Hawley asked Wray about his early departure from a hearing back in August.

At the time, Wray told the ranking minority member of the Committee, Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA), that he had pressing business and “a plane to catch.”

When Senator Grassley reminded Wray he had his own private FBI jet and asked that he stay for the roughly 20 minutes left in the hearing, Wray told him no.

Now, in a recent hearing, Hawley asked Wray if, in fact, he had cut the hearing short to go on vacation, leaving Wray to hem and haw while trying to evade the question.

But finally, Senator Hawley got Wray to admit that he did, in fact, leave a statutorily required Senate hearing to go on vacation.

Senator Rand Paul also questioned Wray specifically about the FBI working with Facebook and other social media companies to obtain private information that is forbidden by law.

Despite multiple attempts to get him to answer a simple yes or no question, Wray refused and instead told Senator Paul the FBI’s attorneys would have to get back to him.

This was only after Wray tried to give long, explanatory answers about how whether the FBI was doing this or not was a very complicated question.

That’s when the Kentucky Senator blasted Wray as only Rand Paul can, leaving the FBI Director to squirm under the questioning.

But that wasn’t the end of Wray’s bad time.

On Fox News, Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI), fresh off his reelection, tore into Wray in his famously blunt style.

On an episode of Hannity, Senator Johnson spoke critically of FBI Director Wray.

Johnson said despite many people’s expectations when he became FBI Director back in 2017, Wray had failed in his job to restore confidence in the bureau.

“You know, Sean, Director Wray became director in 2017,” Johnson began. “Under his watch, the FBI briefed the Senate Intel Committee in March of 2018 that said that Steele dossier had integrity even though they knew it was tainted with Russian disinformation.”

“Under his watch, the FBI obtained Hunter Biden’s laptop in December 2019 and did nothing with it,” he continued. “Under his watch, according to whistleblowers, they developed a scheme in August of 2020 to downplay the derogatory information to deep-six the investigation.”

But that was just the start of Senator Johnson’s attack on Wray.

“Under his watch in that same month, they provided an unsolicited briefing to Senator Grassley and myself,” the Wisconsin Republican continued. “It was a nothing briefing. I knew it was a setup and it was a setup because nine months later, they leaked at The Washington Post to smear me and therefore interfered in the 2022 Wisconsin U.S. Senate election. They interfered in the 2020 election. They interfered in the 2016 election.”

“[Wray’s] primary job as the new director was to clean up and restore integrity and credibility of the FBI,” Johnson added. “He has failed miserably. I don’t believe a word he says, and that’s unfortunate.”

Unfortunate indeed.

The American people must be able to trust their law enforcement officials, if not, changes need to be made.
