Joe Biden continues to make a mess of his first term in office.
From the Afghanistan crisis to vaccine mandates, the American people are angry.
And it looks like Biden may have just handed the GOP exactly what it needed to clean house in 2022.
No doubt the 2022 midterm elections are sure to be a spectacle.
Many are predicting an absolute bloodbath for the Democrats.
The Democrat Party continues to infuriate the American people with horrific foreign policy moves, unconstitutional medical mandates, and skyrocketing inflation.
So, while 2022 was already shaping up to be a good one for the Republicans, Biden likely just sealed the deal for them.
Republicans are seizing on President Biden’s latest coronavirus vaccine mandates as a campaign issue.
While possibly not necessary given the anger over Biden’s recent missteps, the GOP is looking to use this recent vaccine mandate to fire up its base ahead of the 2022 midterms and 2024 Presidential election.
Biden’s decree to go after companies that do not require employees to get vaccinated has caused an already angry GOP base to become downright infuriated.
Not surprisingly, those with big political dreams in the GOP have seized the moment.
Former Vice President Mike Pence and South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem took to Fox News’ airwaves to lambast the President’s move, while Texas Gov. Greg Abbott called the mandates “an assault on private businesses” in a Tweet.
The move by Biden opened the door for the Republican National Committee to launch an attack on the administration vowing to sue the administration over the mandate.
Republican strategist Keith Naughton said he believes “this is going to be a motivating factor.”
“You’re going to see on the Governor’s level a lot of governors taking, either them or their attorney generals, taking a leading role in a lot of these legal challenges,” a GOP insider stated.
Even Alabama Governor Kay Ivey, a Republican who had previously blamed the unvaccinated for the spread of COVID, hit back at Biden.
“Once again, President Biden has missed the mark,” Ivey said in a statement. “His outrageous, overreaching mandates will no doubt be challenged in the courts.”
It’s yet to be seen if this most recent misstep by Biden gives the GOP any leverage in the coming 2022 midterms, but it sure seems to have fired up the base.
Of course the GOP’s challenge now is to keep the base fired up because in the eyes of the everyday Americans, 2022 is a long way away.
