Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is trying to fundamentally transform the country.
She’s hoping Democrats fall in line with her socialist schemes.
And she was furious when Democrats gave her this shocking news.
Democrats are in disarray from infighting between Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s radical Left and the moderates.
Both factions have been at war about how left-wing the Biden legislative agenda should be.
Moderates like West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin scored a victory when he killed the socialist $3.5 trillion so-called “human infrastructure” bill.
With the Midterm elections coming up, Democrats need a unified front to defend their slim majorities in congress.
But moderate Democrats are fuming at the queen bee of the socialist wing, Ocasio-Cortez.
They’re blaming her far-left policies for endangering vulnerable Democrats in the midterm elections.
And the leader of a PAC designed to protect moderate Democrats in the upcoming elections unloaded on Ocasio-Cortez.
Matt Bennett of Shield PAC told Fox News that Ocasio-Cortez and her Squad’s radical positions are hurting Democrats in competitive districts.
“We have been kind of shouting this from the rooftops since the 2020 election,” he said.
He claims that Democrats unexpectedly lost seats in the House during the 2020 elections after being tied to Ocasio-Cortez’s positions like “defund the police” and socialism.
According to Bennett, the Squad does “fine in Brooklyn” but their far-left positions sank Democrats in competitive Congressional districts.
He said, “I would say that they (the Squad) are deeply problematic for Democrats running in competitive districts and states. They arm Republicans with very potent attacks, albeit, very misleading ones, but very politically impactful attacks.”
Bennett begged for Osasio-Cortez to tone down her far-left rhetoric for election season.
“My message would be, please understand that what works in your district does not work in western Iowa and that what you say has consequences for your Democratic colleagues that could profoundly impact the ability of the party to retain majorities,” he said.
Unfortunately for him, Ocasio-Cortez and her Squad aren’t backing down.
Squad member Congresswoman Cori Bush said she won’t back down from pushing “defund the police” just to help Democrats’ election chances.
Ocasio-Cortez previously blamed Democrat losses on being too centrist and alienating socialist voters.
The bigger problem for these so-called “moderate” Democrats is that most bought into Ocasio-Cortez’s far-left policies before figuring out they were losers politically.
Democrats wholeheartedly embraced positions like “defund the police” before rising crime made it a political loser.
Fortunately, Republicans are ready to capitalize on the Democrats far-left turn in the midterms.
Vulnerable Democrats may be running away from Ocasio-Cortez now, but their voting records and past statements say otherwise for most of them.
Democrat infighting could help pave the road for Republicans to rip the Speaker’s Gavel out of Nancy Pelosi’s hands.
