Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez hit Joe Biden with a nasty surprise that will upend everything

New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez does not understand the concept of being a team player.

All Ocasio-Cortez cares about is growing her own fame.

And now, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez hit Joe Biden with a nasty surprise that will upend everything.

Unlike most members of her party, Ocasio-Cortez was more than willing to criticize Joe Biden on the record.

That is a rarity in American politics, as rank-and-file members rarely speak out against a President from their own party.

But in an interview with the New Yorker, Ocasio-Cortez had no problem airing socialist frustration with Biden not pushing hard enough to push a radical left-wing agenda.

Ocasio-Cortez even all-but admitted defeat in the midterm election, telling the New Yorker that Democrats were running out of time to take action on the socialist agenda.

“And we don’t have much time. We should really not take this present political moment for granted, and do everything that we can,” Ocasio-Cortez stated.

Cortez’s startling admission that Democrats basically have 11 months left to act before a new GOP majority takes over next November will not help drive Democrat voter enthusiasm.

Ocasio-Cortez also hinted that the majority in the Senate was all-but lost, claiming Democrats did not want to waste a “very precious opportunity” in the Senate by leaving trillions in new spending on the table.

“At the beginning of last year, many of us in the progressive wing—but not just the progressive wing—were saying we don’t want to repeat a lot of the hand-wringing that happened in 2010, when there was this very precious opportunity in the Senate for things to happen,” Ocasio-Cortez added.

But what Ocasio-Cortez ignored is the fact that the Senate is evenly split 50-50 between Democrats and Republicans.

Democrats can’t ram a transformative socialist agenda through the Senate because that isn’t what the people voted for.

Ocasio-Cortez then set Biden up for more failure with the Democrat base claiming that Biden could eliminate student loan debt via executive fiat.

“One of the single most impactful things President Biden can do is pursue student-loan cancellation. It’s entirely within his power. This really isn’t a conversation about providing relief to a small, niche group of people. It’s very much a keystone action politically,” Ocasio-Cortez stated.

First of all, this would be unconstitutional.

Second of all, it would be unpopular.

Points one and two are why Biden won’t try and wipe out student loan debt and Ocasio-Cortez raising the prospect of Biden taking this action only creates unrealistic expectations that will further depress Democrat voter turnout when Biden does not follow through.
