And a judge gave Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez a reality check over this colossal blunder.
New York City is in the midst of a major crime wave after Democrats went all-in on their soft-on-crime policies that allow criminals to run wild.
New Yorkers have to look over their shoulders every time they use the city’s subway system after the major spike in violent crime.
Violent crimes on the subway are surging, and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) used the troubling situation to lob an attack against law enforcement.
“Subway crime is up,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “But let’s also note that subway crime is up after they committed so many more officers to the subway system. So, that also tells us – from a policy perspective – adding more cops to the subway isn’t solving this problem.”
In Congress, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez represents one of the areas hit hardest by the Democrat-fueled crime wave sweeping the five boroughs.
The Congresswoman is also one of Congress’ primary ringleaders for the “defund the police” movement, and always looks for an opportunity to bash the selfless sacrifice of police officers.
With crime surging around the country, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez has falsely claimed that the police aren’t the solution to a crime problem she helped create.
In her deranged mind, adding more cops to New York’s crime-ridden streets and subways won’t help the beleaguered citizens of the city she claims to represent.
On Fox News’ The Five, the hosts gave Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez a reality check over her latest attack on the police.
“That is either the product of a dishonest mind or a mentally disabled one,” Greg Gutfeld said. “The police are a response to the crime. The crime was there first. How can you lie about that?”
“Do you think that the chalk outlines are drawn before the body’s placed in there, you frickin’ moron?!” Gutfeld added.
Gutfeld’s co-host, Judge Jeanine Pirro, previously served as District Attorney and then as a judge in West Chester Country, a suburban area outside New York City, and has extensive experience with the state’s criminal justice system.
Pirro torched Ocasio-Cortez for her latest attack on law enforcement, saying that socialist Congresswoman is “so stupid.”
Gutfeld added that Republicans were too “nice” when talking about radical left-wing politicians, like those in Ocasio-Cortez’ so-called “Squad.”
“They are pro-criminal,” Pirro said, referring to the “Squad.”
“And as for her, she is so stupid, it is stunning,” Pirro continued. “More cops cause more violence on the trains, on the subways? Did it ever occur to her there might even be more crime, but for the fact that there were more police there?”
Pirro bluntly stated that Ocasio-Cortez’ logic is “screwed up.”
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will never miss an opportunity to bash the police, even if it means totally ignoring the fact that her fellow New Yorkers are living in terror from crime.
