The Democrat Party is scrambling to find its way after getting crushed in the 2024 Election.
Now one strategist thinks he’s found the answer to their problems.
And a Democrat strategist’s Horrible plan for Jasmine Crockett just left party insiders speechless.
Democrats desperately search for their own Joe Rogan
The Democrat Party is in full panic mode after President Donald Trump’s landslide victory exposed how disconnected they’ve become from regular Americans.
Party leaders know they have a messaging problem.
Young men especially have abandoned the Democrat Party in droves, flocking instead to podcasters like comedian Joe Rogan who tell it like it is.
Trump’s appearance on “The Joe Rogan Experience” in October 2024 racked up millions of views and helped cement his connection with voters who felt ignored by the political establishment.
Now Democrats are desperately trying to find their own version of Rogan.
The New York Times reported in May that liberal strategists were throwing around ideas to help Democrats “find the next Joe Rogan” as part of a frantic effort to get their message across to voters.
But one Democrat strategist thinks they’re looking in all the wrong places.
Max Burns pushes Jasmine Crockett as the future of the Democrat Party
Democratic strategist Max Burns dropped a bombshell in an op-ed published in The Hill this week.
Burns thinks the answer to the Democrat Party’s problems isn’t building a “liberal Joe Rogan.”
Instead, he wants to put all their chips on Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-TX).
“Democrats are about to blow millions of dollars on an almost certainly futile effort to build a ‘liberal Joe Rogan’ when they should be studying how Crockett’s unlikely path to Washington shaped her hugely popular message,” Burns wrote.
Burns described Crockett as one of the Democrat Party’s “rawest and most watchable communicators.”
He gushed that “at a moment when voters are increasingly tuning out politicians, Crockett is still breaking through.”
Crockett has certainly made headlines – but not always for the right reasons.
The Texas Democrat has become notorious for her racially-charged rants and inflammatory attacks on Republicans.
She infamously referred to wheelchair-bound Texas Governor Greg Abbott as “Governor Hot Wheels.”
Burns seems to think this kind of combative approach is exactly what the Democrat Party needs.
Democrat insiders rally behind Crockett’s combative approach
Burns isn’t the only Democrat insider pushing Crockett as the party’s future.
Democratic National Committee Vice Chair David Hogg declared Crockett “the future of the Democratic Party.”
Even Fox News anchor Trey Gowdy devoted an entire segment on Sunday to addressing her rise to prominence.
“It’s hard to walk a mile in America’s political-media industrial complex these days without someone asking me about Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett,” Burns admitted in his op-ed.
He claims his inbox fills up with “enthusiastic Democrats urging me to watch compilations of Crockett’s most viral comments, some of which boast view counts in the millions.”
Burns believes Crockett’s “brashness” reflects “the alienation millions of Democratic voters feel.”
He pointed to the fact that 7% of Black men and nearly 10% of nonwhite young people abandoned the Democrat Party after the 2024 election.
“To those voters, Crockett’s passion doesn’t look disrespectful — it looks appropriate to a moment where most Americans are paying more for everything from groceries to medicine,” Burns wrote.
The strategy behind promoting political combat
Burns thinks Crockett has “built a powerful national brand by telling Democrats that it’s OK to pick a fight when that fight is worth having.”
The former public defender turned politician has certainly never shied away from political combat.
Her viral moments often involve heated exchanges where she attacks Republicans with personal insults rather than policy arguments.
Burns sees this as a feature, not a bug.
He wants Democrats to embrace Crockett’s confrontational style as they prepare for the 2026 midterm elections.
“As one of the few party figures who can speak with authenticity to the millions of voters who lost faith in the Democratic Party after 2024, Crockett should be playing a lead role in reshaping the party’s 2026 message,” Burns argued.
The strategist believes Democrats need to stop being “go-along, get-along” politicians and start picking more fights.
“Now Crockett and the Democrats who have rallied around her have an even more challenging goal: reminding go-along, get-along Democrats that they used to believe in things, too,” Burns concluded.
This strategy represents a dramatic shift for a party that once prided itself on being the adults in the room.
Instead of trying to win back voters with better policies or more compelling arguments, Democrats want to double down on personal attacks and inflammatory rhetoric.
The question is whether American voters are looking for more political combat or if they’re tired of the constant fighting.
Democrats are about to find out if Jasmine Crockett’s brand of political warfare is the answer to their electoral woes.
