Joe Biden says he is running for re-election in 2024.
But few believe him.
And one top Democrat is hoping the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade will help him replace Joe Biden in 2024.
The economy is teetering on the brink of recession.
Inflation is skyrocketing, sending gas and grocery prices through the roof.
The border is wide open, crime is surging, and the supply chain is breaking down.
No matter which way you look at it, the Joe Biden Presidency is a disaster.
With President Biden’s failures dragging Democrats down across the board in the 2022 Midterms, Party leaders and reporters are starting to publicly talk about replacing Biden in 2024.
Vice President Kamala Harris, former First Lady Hillary Clinton, and former small town Mayor Pete Buttigieg are the most common names tossed around when discussing the options.
But one other top Democrat name recently emerged in the chatter about replacing President Biden.
And that is Governor Gavin Newsom (D-CA).
Former Obama chief strategist David Axelrod recently told The New York Times that Governor Newsom may be the best choice for Democrats in 2024, especially if Joe Biden didn’t run for re-election.
“If the President were not to run, it’s hard to imagine that Newsom would not be sorely tempted to enter the race,” Axelrod told the Times on Wednesday.
“Newsom is young and politically muscular, which may be just what the market will be seeking post-Biden,” Axelrod added.
And in the wake of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade, Gavin Newsom is making all the moves a potential Democrat candidate for President would make.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Newsom is using Roe v. Wade to catapult himself to the forefront of the Democrat Party leadership, potentially setting himself up to replace Joe Biden in 2024.
“Newsom clearly embraces his rise as a dominant, resonating voice for Democratic states nationwide and as a foil of governors such as [Greg] Abbott [of Texas] and Ron DeSantis of Florida, whom he condemns as disciples of the hard-right, Donald Trump wing of the Republican Party,” the Los Angeles Times wrote.
Of course, given the President’s significantly advanced age and severely declining mental and physical faculties, even a scandal-plagued Gavin Newsom could likely be a better choice for Democrats in 2024.
But the chances of Newsom getting elected President are slim to none.
As Governor of California, Newsom represents the most radical, left-wing element of the most radical, left-wing state in America.
Not to mention the fact that people are leaving California in droves after Newsom has simply continued the same left-wing policies that caused the state’s tax rate, homelessness, and crime to skyrocket over the past few decades.
And the last thing most people want is for Gavin Newsom to turn America into California.
